We received a lovely welcome when we arrived. There was a good range of specials and the service was excellent. A great pub to visit when travelling through the area.

Yet another lovely meal and great service. Sea food pasta has an amazing sauce and consists of large prawns and mussels. Steak is always good here. Sad to see creme brulee is not on the main menu any more as it is sublime, it was on a specials menu this time so I was happy. Addition of specials menu is a good step.

We had heard so many good things about the carvery, we decided to try it for ourselves. The carvery deck had lots of choice of vegetables, but then we got to the roast potatoes, or lack of. We were told , there was no more, a roast without potatoes, doesn’t sit right. However, the choice of vegetables was spot on. We would come back again, and hopefully, be able to sample your roasties. Can I please, suggest you , thicken your gravy .

great service and the food was amazing. They recently reduced their menu but still have lots of tasty menu items to choose from. We have eaten here several times and its always been a fantastic experience.

We ate here for the first time yesterday as a treat for.my birthday. The food and service were sensational. We shared the beef cheek cottage pie, it was delicious. We just wished we lived closer as would definitely make this our local. Thank you for making my birthday a memorable one xox

Well I can honestly say that I had the nicest fish dish that I can recall last night! Six of us had the hake and we were all so impressed, it was fresh and utterly delicious. The new potatoes and green veg that accompanied the fish were also perfectly cooked. A great atmosphere in the pub as well. Thank you, we’ll be back soon!

Visited for the second time in a month last week and found everything just as good. Proper old fashioned home cooked roast lunch at a great price. Service is great, will definitely be back again.

Amy contacted us to change our outside table to an indoor table as the weather was likely to be poor. Very thoughtful. Lovely food and helpful service.

We absolutely loved the food, tasty and fresh, and delicious, we had an evening meal and breakfast, would highly recommend the onion rings. Full English was very tasty, bacon and sausages were yummy.

Awesome Easter Sunday lunch as ever. Been coming to The Sloop a lot over the years and it never fails to impress. Dealt with my son’s allergies with no question or hassle. Fabulous place.
