This is the second time we have been to Chloe's and the experience has got even better. The quality of food, service, ambience and presentation that they offer for £30 (3 courses) is quite outstanding. The food is exquisite, the taste amazing and the presentation of each course is exceptional. Most highly recommended.

The McIntosh's

While on holiday in Hele Valley came across Hele Billy's and found the food and the staff good. We ate there on several occasions and also just popped in for a drink and a few games of pool. Great since the no smoking ban came into force and the place has been steam cleaned. Nice atmosphere

Lovely food, but we felt we paid a lot for the restaurant's reputation.

Oyster Shack The – Kingsbridge

I just have to say how good this place really is. From the moment we drove down the drive way to the moment we departed. The tall, good looking Restaurant Manager was an excellent host and chose a delightful wine that complinented our food perfectly. Well worth a visit or two!

Buckland-Tout-Saints – Kingsbridge

Great restaurant owned by Barbara and Simon since December 2005, assisted by daughters Farah and Maxine. Many home made dishes, freshly cooked and great quality. Relaxed atmosphere and good fun. Only a small place so make sure you book at weekends.

This restaurant is excellent if you like home cooked food the menu is fairly extensive. If you have children this is perfect as they have an indoors and an outdoors play area.

Cat and Fiddle Inn – Exeter
TINKYWINKY

This has to be the best fish and chips i have ever tasted. From what i could see the owners know there business inside out and back to front and run it to perfection. We stay in Coombe Martin regularly and never miss going down to Braunton at least once to visit Squires during our holiday. FANTASTIC

A busy Thursday evening, so a booking was an excellent idea. Staff were friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable striking just the right balance of familiarity and genuine support (none of the false American 'Have a nice day!) The ambience was excellent and, though busy, we were never overwhelmed or claustrophobic as there is an open and airy feel to the place. Service was swift without ever feeling rushed or under pressure. The menu is varied and provides plenty of choice for most people. Our starters and main courses (Sea Bass & Rib Eye Steak) were excellent and the desserts were high quality and a suitable finale. I was more than happy with the experience and wholeheartedly recommend Strada, particularly if you receive the same superior service that we experienced!

Strada – Exeter

One of the best places i have been in a long while

Swans Nest Inn – Exeter

I have been a regular visitor to Teignmouth and Shaldon since the late 1950s. This is a special restaurant, a one off. Shaldon is a peaceful quaint estuary village and ODE staff give a personal service with the Chef/owner visiting your table to check you are satisfied with the taste of your food. The waitress was immaculate and very polite in dealings. My wife is vegetarian, does not eat fish although eats free range eggs. She found the choice of food delightful. The skills of the chef with world wide experience is obvious in the presentation and taste of the food. An enjoyable evening !

ODE Restaurant – Teignmouth

I have visited the White Heart three times for lunch. The set lunch is good value with good choice of wines. The guest is welcomed and the service throughout is warm and friendly. Anthony Maggs

White Hart Inn and Restaurant – Ivybridge

absolutely the best Sunday carvery in the area the staff are friendly and efficient and the food was 2nd to none if i had one complaint it would be a lack of rose wine but having said this the white wine cellar is excellent

Jethros – Okehampton

Lockyers Quay – Plymouth

My husband and I popped in on the off chance and really wanted to try the 'fish side', however they were fully booked for a birthday lunch. We therefore went to the 'pub side' and had the special lunch menu. Whilst the portions were 'small' they were adequate although I too found some of the dishes a little on the salty side, hence 'very good' rather than 'outstanding'. The home made bread was a definite plus and I would certainly return, just hold the salt a little!
