Introduced my friends to the Hour Glass, and it did not disappoint. Fantastic food and service from start to finish. I loved how seasonal and locally sourced the menu was. The staff are incredibly welcoming and responsive. The Hour Glass is a place I can always rely on to be excellent in every aspect every time I visit.

5th visit to Maritimo, and once again blown away by the amazing quality and value of the food. Our go to restaurant every time we visit our daughter at University.

Excellent food served to us on Saturday evening. The menu offered a good choice with a cross section of fish, meat and vegetarian options. We opted to share a started of scampi tails, but this was on another level to those you often receive. Our two friends chose a couple of picky bits including the padron peppers which were lovely. Three of us had the hake (excellent choice) and one had chicken. The portion sizes were adequate and well presented. The food was hot! Yes, it should be but I've eaten out before to be served luke warm food. It was a bit noisy but it's all old pub with atmosphere and small rooms so to be expected. Better than eating in silence? The wine was good, the Guinness well kept and poured beautifully. The service was attentive. Yet again it's great to comment on the politeness and friendliness of young adults. All in all a very good experience. We will definitely eat there again.

Another wonderful Sunday Roast at the Poltimore Inn. Everything was cooked to perfection, all the staff were lovely and we were treated to stunning views from our table by the window. Highly recommended, I'll be back again soon!

This was the best carvery we have ever had, so much choice in vegetables and the meat was so tasty and so much of it. Brilliant thank you

What a lovely pub. Extremely friendly staff. Took my great aunt here for a birthday treat. We were quickly seated and had our orders taken. There was a good selection of drinks and our food came quickly. The special were the mussels and they really were special and was the stand out dish everyone had food envy over! The food was great as were the desserts and very reasonably priced considering the quality. Will definitely be checking out again in the next time we are in Devon

Four of us had the carvery on Wednesday. The food was well below par and the roast potatoes were either badly cooked or reheats from several days ago because they were inedible. Other customers also complained. But worst of all three of us had really bad upset stomachs the following day. I believe this was a mild form of food poisoning. I am writing this review today having just found out about our two friends also having upset stomachs. My wife was fine having had the nut roast and very few accompaniments. I’m afraid we will not be back.

We booked a table for 6 for sunday lunch. We were welcomed by a friendly waitress who took us to our table. Drinks were ordered quickly. Sunday carvery was outstanding. Meat was booked perfect, homemade Yorkshire puddings and veg all cooked beautifully. Puddings were a very generous size too and tasted amazing. Excellent service.

We booked for Sunday lunch, and it was a light airy dining room over looking the garden. Attentive staff and our meal was delicious. Their salted caramel ice cream finished off a very pleasant time at the inn. It is not difficult to find, and there is plenty of parking in the village.

I had the hake and John had the venison with a side of chips between us. Totally delicious and BTW the chips were to die for! For two oldies celebrating an 84th birthday portion size was perfect. The room was a little gloomy and very noisy but it was a Sunday lunchtime. Glassware rather basic.

This was our first visit to Belluno in Axminster but won't be our last. Lovely atmosphere, superb choice on the menu and excellent food delivered with friendly, attentive and efficient service by the staff. We'll definitely be returning.

We had our meal at 6.45.The restaurant downstairs was not very warm and not as good an atmosphere as upstairs. Service was good, with friendly staff. Two of us ordered the pie to share and asked if we could have chips instead of mash which was fine with the waitress. When it arrived the pie was lovely but only one portion of chips and greens for two people which was wasn’t enough. The steaks we ordered were ok but would have been better if chargrilled the salad was overloaded with red chillies which were overpowering. The chocolate dessert was delicious.
