The Farmers Arms – DurhamCame out for my birthday, food was fantastic and service was amazing. Very friendly atmosphere and clean environment and wonderful value for money and potions was great for the 3 course meal, not too much so that there's no waste. Overall fantastic with great food, I will be back to try something else maybe
The Farmers Arms – DurhamAttended for Sunday dinner yesterday can’t fault pricing however all 5 of us felt it was very very peppery! Esp the suede! We’ve had no bother before but this time it was very overpowering. We were all famished so we did eat most of it and can’t fault desserts! But maybe less pepper next time! The only other thing I would suggest would be better lighting during the day - was quite dingey where we were placed even though daytime not a lot of natural light. Ofcourse we will go back as never had bother before just unfortunate yesterday. Otherwise lovely service lovely meals
The Farmers Arms – DurhamGussto is one of mine and my partners favourite restaurants, we’ve been countless times and the food is beautiful everytime, all great tasting well presented. Lovely decor inside always feels like a mini holiday. Hector the Waiter is always really friendly and helpful if you’re struggling to choose what to have. Having cruz campo on tap is always a bonus! Love anything from here with alioli
Gussto Tapas Bar – Durham5 of us had a wonderful lunch. The £10 for three courses is excellent value, although the choices on the menu which don’t have an extra charge is lower that I would like. I had steak and salad which was cooked to my request. Service was okay but not outstanding. We all had nice time and would go again for sure.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamGreat food service and atmosphere on a Saturday evening went for the hanging kebab good portions nice and hot. Highly recommend and will be back
The Farmers Arms – DurhamAs usual an excellent meal great staff and homely atmosphere. Will definitely be back again
The Farmers Arms – DurhamBeautiful meal for a girly catch up. Had the sea bass and was very tasty and cooked perfectly. Friendly and welcoming staff. Already booked to go again.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamMy wife and I recently stayed at the lovely hotel celebrating her birthday and had two meals at the restaurant. Both visits found us thoroughly enjoying really good food and a loverly ambiance in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and extremely helpful but not intrusive. One night I had the pan fried cod which was fantastic. The breakfasts were fantastic too, well organised. We found the breakfast experience much better organised than Slaley Hall which was not a good experience. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Michael and Dawn W.
Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamAbsolutely gorgeous such a lovely atmosphere and very friendly the food is so tasty worth ever penny
The Farmers Arms – DurhamSo this was our second visit first for food , was a little disappointed with the wait time just under a hour for starters. Had to ask if we were anywhere near? Mains well didn’t know chicken was on a bone also dou meat wasn’t the best . Had to go ask for another drink and it’s wasn’t really busy . Plenty of staff mulling around . So we tried but unfortunately won’t be returning
The Farmers Arms – DurhamReturned to this pub because we thoroughly enjoyed it first time. Second visit was however a huge disappointment. We waited for over 15 minutes before we could order drinks. 10 minutes later the waitress took our food order. We then waited a further hour before our lunch arrived at the table. The two tables near to us actually paid for their drinks and left as they appeared fed up of waiting in addition to being served the incorrect dishes. Whilst the Sunday lunch was quite tasty, the meat was dried and shrivelled. There was no crackling for the roast pork despite being told on ordering there would be. Seasoning for the lunch is provided with sachets of salt and pepper. (Whatever happened to proper salt cellars and pepper pots). Annoyingly the table was quite sticky. Will not return. The management could at least keep patrons informed when delays occur. Pleasant enough staff who were polite and apologetic but ultimately just not good enough to keep our custom.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamVisited for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was very busy but the staff, as always, were friendly and efficient. The service was quick and the food was superb. Could probably have eaten a little more veg but overall This is a good all round Sunday lunch at an extremely good price.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamFantastic food. Staff lovely and friendly. They can't do enough for you
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamEnjoyed a Carvery last Sunday, Food was hot and delicious. Disappointed though regarding not getting kids eat free despite it being advertised on the Facebook page on the same day we ate there.
Red Alligator – Bishop AucklandGreat service and fillet steak was gorgeous perfectly cooked and chips are the best around.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamWe have been for Sunday lunch, quite a few times and the food and service have always been very good and excellent value for money. The only gripe would more veg in a separate tureen
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamFood was good Alittle cold in dinning room could have done with the heating on Service was good two kids did well
