We came here yesterday for Sunday lunch and the pub itself is lovely. We have had Sunday lunch here before and it was really nice. Unfortunately our visit yesterday wasn’t great. The service was very slow, tacky & the food was extremely cold when arrived. The veg was cold and felt like it had been warmed up in microwave as some parts were warm and others stone cold.

We had 2 children's meals which were excellent and the adults had the 3 course special, which was amazing value. I would definitely recommend and we will be back.

The staff were welcoming and so friendly. The lights and flower petals were a lovely touch. We had a beautiful Valentines meal. We can't wait to come back.

They are dog friendly and when I say dog friendly I mean dogs are encouraged. We have been to lots of “dog friendly” pubs/bars before and they are dog tolerant but our little sausage is always greater with smiles and treats. The food is great and I love the pugs and blankets and cauliflower cheese sides.

Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamDining at the Farmers has become something of a regular habit ! The food is always well prepared, nicely presented and tasty. All the staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. We went on a Tuesday and had the £10 meal deal which is exceptionally good value, as always the portions were so big that none of our party had room for dessert which the staff gladly packaged for us to take home. I hope it won't be too long before we go again !!

The Cumberland sausage was very good but not enough mash for my partner. The desserts were very nice.
