Popped into Antler for a drink and some food as it’s local, nice atmosphere, staff very friendly and attentive and were all working hard throughout my visit, especially Carly! Food was delicious and enjoyed the new choice of Thatchers on draught too!

Booked spa & afternoon tea package for my daughter birthday. Had a lovely massage ladies were lovely. The facilities are so tired looking in swimming pool/hot tub and changing rooms they could really do with updating. Afternoon tea was very disappointing, I don’t know if they were short staffed but we waited over half hour to be seen and then the afternoon tea arrived without drinks which took another 20 mins to arrive also. It’s a shame as I think this place could be a beautiful setting but it was tired and dirty.

I booked at table for 6.30pm, we waited 10mins to be shown to our table, the girl came and took our order for drinks then she said she would come back to take our food order, we waited well over 20mins, I had to catch someone in the end. We placed our food order, it took ages for our starters to come out, then we had to wait again for our mains by this time it was after 8.40pm, eventually the food came out, no complaints about the food it was lovely but we had to rush it down because of the time, we even asked for the desserts to take home. Can't imagine what it would be like if it was busy. We left just after 9pm, 2/.5 hrs for a meal is not acceptable, don't think we will hurry back, service very poor.

We stayed as a group of 4, for one night on the DBB deal. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was outstanding! The portions were large and it was excellent value for money. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend.

Love this place, we live locally so it’s amazing having this on our doorstep. Staff are lovely, atmosphere is great, child friendly to take the family but also nice to go for a few drinks with friends. Amazing value for money, the happy hour is amazing especially the sticky toffee pudding.

I had a birthday afternoon tea for my friend i was rather disappointed in the quality of the food the Yorkshire pudding was served cold and rather dry the beef was fatty and too much garnish crammed into the pudding the sandwiches and scone was nice but rest bland and served cold nit the best experience to be honest

I have known the Derwent Manor, formerly the Royal Derwent, since and before it's controversial opening. Living locally, it is easy to ignore places on your doorstep, and this is one of those places. Having fancying a mid week treat, we booked a table for 2 at the prego restaurant, as luck had it, our booking coincided with the earl bird menu, which we chose with an extra side and a full bottle of wine. The service was exemplary, and the food was full restaurant standard. Our final payment was £70 ,that included a more than 10% tip, as to round up the figure.

Booked into hotel at 3pm Friday 6th August for 1 night. Special occasion -56th wedding anniversary. Was told no space in restaurant so had to book in the bar for 6.15pm. I wanted the pork chop but not with the accompaniments on the menu. I asked for the mash and vegetables. The waitress said this was not possible as she had been warned not to allow any changes because the restaurant was very busy. I reluctantly had the fish & chips as there was nothing else I fancied. I didn't want to have to drive anywhere else after longdrive to hotel. I wasted £17.00. The batter was soggy and not crispy. The fish was tasteless. I expect to be able to order what I want and payforit. I don't expect the hotel to tell me what I am allowed to have. A special occasion ruined.

Really enjoyed our meal at the Prego restaurant, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating, only little niggle...way too many peppercorns in the peppercorn sauce.

Room dusty , big stain on carpet, previous peoples booking form still in room. Evening meal dreadful! Had to send steak back, it was awful! Staff in restaurant, blonde young lady- good, gentlemen rude! Not told about having to carry white card everywhere we went, even tho we had the room key- pointless! Breakfast was the saving grace! Brilliant staff, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast good
