Amazing food and service. Sunday lunches are unreal. Highly recommended. It gets very busy on a Sunday so definitely book. I've never had anything but delicious food and perfect service. Huge portions too.

Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamWent on a Saturday night. Was fairly busy but we got seated and served promptly. Staff were lovely and food was very good! Would definitely go again... Prices reasonable and very good value Happy hour!
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamThe food was lovely and excellent value. Staff were fabulous, friendly and attentive without being over powering. This is definitely a good place to eat and enjoy.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamAmazing food and great value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t ask for anything more
The Farmers Arms – DurhamExcellent food and the old country roses china made the table setting look very elegant but the plain white teapot and milk jug which were brought when we asked for another pot of tea lowered the tone. Why couldn’t the teapot and milk jug have just been refilled? While the initial service was excellent the follow up was poor and we had to go in search of staff for more tea. Granted that may have been due to the fact that we were the only party there for afternoon tea and it was Thursday afternoon. However, my husband much enjoyed his birthday treat.
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleWe have stayed here twice over the past year and even though it needs some work we love the place. The food is really really good, I find the restaurant though bland in decor for such a lovely room it could be nicer, service can be slow at times but overall we will defo be back.
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonMy sister and I had afternoon tea at Hall Garth Hotel and I have got to say we were extremely disappointed. Some of the bread was almost stale and the cakes were certainly not the best we had tasted. The service was slow and we had to ask twice for a second pot of tea which we were told we would be charged for. Will not be returning here.
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonFood was good service was also good and was very busy . The atmosphere was a little loud but ok. We paid £15-50 for a bottle of ROSE which was like a cider vineger and tasted awful and at the most was a £3-00 bottle of cheap plonk. I would sugest the owners of this establishment should buy a better quality wine even if they make a smaller profit. POOR WINE AT THOSE PRICES CAN STOP PEOPLE FROM COMMING TO THE PLACE.

Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamI’m apologising in advance but this was my experience and it may not have bothered others but it did us. We booked online for tea with my son, prior to us going on holiday the following day. It wasn’t to be the type of evening (Tuesday) to sit around chatting for too long, we simply wanted to go out for tea and straight home. We chose from the ‘3 courses for £10’ menu. My sons drink didn’t come and we had to ask 3 times for it. 2 starters came and it was approx 5 minutes before the 3rd one came - main course very similar, no coleslaw came and it took a while to bring it. 3rd course came after chasing it up after half an hour of finishing our main, again only 2 came, they were luke warm and we had finished ours before my sons was brought out. At this point I felt the need to say something because it took 2 1/2 hours to get our meal completed. The manager apologised, there had been 2 large parties in and a kitchen member of staff was off sick - which may explain part of the delays but not the bringing only 2 meals at a time issue! She then went on to say they had forgotten all about us for our dessert course. An absolutely terrible experience, however I have rated the food and atmosphere very highly.
