First time visit after passing it a couple times. Looked inviting. Took a pal for a catch up over a pint and a meal. Nice place. Inviting pleasant and spacious. Ordered from traditional menu and wasnt disappointed. Nice food nice decor will definitely return

Travelled to Durham from Derby, I booked a table at Shaheens purely on recommendation because TripAdvisor said this was the top place to eat. We had food hear on Saturday evening and it was lovely, enjoyed the atmosphere really clean and the staff were so welcoming. We had lovely starter of prawn poori and my parter had shish kebab, the currys were lovely we enjoyed them being spicy and had nans and rice. The whole experience was lovely x

Lovely meal with friends bit slow on serving which we didn't mind as it gave us chance to catch up. Our 4th visit but first for our friends they were very impressed. We'll be back again either for a happy hour meal or evening meal.

Fabulous meal, booked for new yes day evening Good quality food. The bhajis , tikka starter, and Naan bread were my favourites. Friends had a tikka sizzler and mushroom & prawn curry they also said it was very good. Very polite friendly and attentive staff.. definitely worth a visit.

Slow service and the young man didn’t seem to know much about the menu! Food was nice. Not the best you’ll ever have but not the worst.

We visited the Morritt Arms on Boxing Day for my partners birthday. From start to finish we were not disappointed! From the quirky decor in the pub to the exquisite furnishings in the restaurant - it was a delight to be there. The food was amazingly tasty and every bit cooked to perfection! The staff were fantastic and on hand at all times and nothing was a bother. We also felt the value for money was brilliant and worth every penny. The whole evening was utter perfection and we will most certainly be back again!

Wonderful meal again at Shaheens. Fantastic service and great food mean we visit each time we are in Durham. Family run for over 30 years. It is my most favourite meal.

Me and my husband had our Sunday lunch and it was perfect like always. Food staff atmosphere and price was all spot on. Highly recommend it

Approximately 12 of us been here for umpteen years for The Christmas Lunch always been wonderful. Disappointed this year , not up to the usual standard, food was rather bland and whole meal you just felt the attention to detail was lacking.

Booked for me and my son to celebrate his 21st whilst I was visiting him at uni for the day. On booking it asked if any celebration so said 21st. Made no difference! Not that my son was fussed!! Sadly no none alcoholic cider for him so J20 for us both. I was brought wrong flavour, pointed it out and was offered opportunity to change it. We ordered but service felt very slow. Infact I had to ask someone to clear our main dishes so we could order desserts! We both enjoyed carbonara & gelato. Excellent price,esp the happy hour menu.

We've just moved local to Italian Farmhouse, Can't understand why we did'nt travel to it before!!! becoming regulars The food is excellent italian (you might want a few more pepperoni on your Pizza) and the service is great! Look out for the pepper sauce if you take it on pizza -WOW!! Local american style brewed beers if you want, but the Carlsberg is excellent. V popular place, can get a little noisy (if you are looking for a romantic meal)
