Chu’s Phoenix – BlackpoolLovely meal here on Sunday excellent service, beautiful food :-)
Ambrosinis – BlackpoolProbably my favourite place on the Fylde Coast. Looks great, staff are very well trained and friendly. Food is excellent and it commands a great spot overlooking the River Wyre. Loved the Chefs Signature and my crab cake starter. Also when the weather is like this it has outside tables.
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonWe went last night after hearing good reviews from friends and it was excellent! Food was delicious and the forerib of beef was amazing. Had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and the Spanish waiter and English waitress were most friendly and engaging. Will definitely be a regular visitor from now on!
Espanol – Poulton-Le-FyldeThe restaurant was beautiful, food lovely, service shocking!! Snails pace just about describes it. We pre ordered to and it was very quiet too, shame :-(
Grosvenor Casino Blackpool – BlackpoolJust enjoyed a fabulous birthday gathering at Banksy's Coffee house and bar in the newly revamped conservatory area at the front of the hotel - all blonde wood with white walls and gleaming white furniture, this stylish area, with its stunning views is just a delight. The coffee is fab; I believe the Banksy's Hendricks G and T is a classic and the staff including the very welcoming bar manager are just great together with Roger and family who run the hotel. My 40 or so friends and family who so enjoyed our gathering there will all be coming back or booking a stay. I can imagine this area will really enhance anyone's visit as it's a perfect spot for refreshments on arrival or a nightcap. Nothing is too much trouble for staff and it is a really great find as it completely adds to the facilities already at the hotel. Also, prices are really reasonable - another bonus! Shall definitely become a Banksy's regular and already wondering if I can organise a family reunion and centre it there so that family can stay at the Carlton. Check it out people - I think you will be as impressed as I have been!
The Carlton and Banksy’s Coffee Bar – St. Annes-On-SeaJust ordered the salt and chilli chicken, it tasted like just salt.... Also had the spicy chips....tasted like salt....disappointed to say the least :-(
Wok Wow – BlackpoolAm an ex Garstang lad now living in Australia went in for a quiet drink handed over a genuine 10 pound note then was confronted by the bar staff shouting at the top of her voice give me some real effin money instead of this fake crap lettin all of the pub hear, i dont mind being questioned because it was crisp and brand new out of an australian bank but you need customer service skills and how to talk to people, will never return and as will my friends in town, need to review your people skills !!!!!!
Th’Owd Tithe Barn – GarstangFirst time at Zen and was very pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff both young and older, a good lively atmosphere (although you would expect nothing less dining at 9pm on a Saturday evening) and attractive Oriental décor with good lighting. There are two menus (Chinese and Thai) presented in a small booklet and the kitchen is quite happy to ramp up or moderate the spice levels depending on your preferences. There are other Chinese restaurants to choose from in St Annes but I think Zen stands out from the crowd by offering diners a choice of full Chinese and Thai menus.
The Zen Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaEverytime I go on hols to Blackpool I always call in here best Chinese in Blackpool. very friendy staff and very clean and tidy and food it just gorgeous. Roll on Aug so I get munching again haha.
Lytham House Chinese TakeAway – BlackpoolTook my children to this restaurant and never felt so uncomfortable and rushed, the staff clearly didnt want them there, they were very well behaved also, Will not be visiting again.
Great Fortune House – Thornton-CleveleysI have stayed at the Walkden House Hotel a few times and I would not go anywhere else, the hotel is immaculate. Chris
The Walkden Eatery @ The Walkden House Hotel – BlackpoolVisited Jack's last Sunday night for a birthday celebration. The group varied in age from 16 months old to 92 years! But, there was something for everyone and everyone enjoyed the meal very much. There was a set menu available and the choices were very good so most people opted for this. The portions were good and the food was of a very high quality! If you haven't been you really should givve it a go and at £12 for 2 courses or £15 for three it is excellent value for the quality you are sure to receive.
Jack’s Restaurant & Bar – St. Annes-On-SeaDined at The Red Fort in Lytham again yesterday (22nd May 2013). It's still one of the best Indian restaurants I know. The food was varied and interesting and the service was excellent. Everything is there when needed and the staff are really friendly. I shall go again soon. Thanks guys.
Red Fort – LythamJohn and I visited on 21/05/2013 and found it to be very spacious and welcoming with a large fish pool feature. The staff are superb and very helpful. We sampled the Banquet for 2 the food taste fresh and well presented both quality quantity price and freshness Great. We shall certainly be back again and again. If you decide to give it a try I can assure you will not be disappointed and will return again. Derek Mitchell.
China Red – Poulton-Le-FyldeExcellent restaurant. We have been going for years and we've never been dissappointed. Wouldn't say expensive and they do a great takeaway as well.
The Great Season Chinese Restaurant – GarstangI read with interest an article in the evening gazette how newcomers are welcomed with a 'cheery hello', this was not my experience. My two daughters, daughter in lasw along with 5 friends went one evening in March at 7.30. to celebrate the birthday of one of my daughters. Nobody greeted us in fact we had to draw the attention of a young man taking an order at the table next to us, this was45 minutes later. Nobody saw us to a table or explained anything, this was our first visit. Drinks finally arrived then spilled over two of us, an accident I appreciate but we then had to wait an age for them to return with the drinks that had been spilled. The food was o.k. but not enough for eight of us, we left hungry. All in all our first experience was not a happy one . Customer service was greatly lacking.
Salt of the Earth – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe booked for my birthday having never been before. Atmosphere was excellent, food and wine were excellent, service was slightly bolshy but amusing and showed a real passion for what we were about to receive and our overall thoughts were that we are looking forward to a return to Espanol to try more dishes!
