West Coast Rock Cafe – BlackpoolVisited the so called TAVERN@THE MILL in Thornton and realised why it a pub run by a nom food brewery! I tried to order food and was rudely told to wait due yo staff shortages????! Should have paid more attention to bad reviews all over the internet!'! Stick to what you know Joseph Holt!
Tavern at the Mill – Thornton-CleveleysGreat food & service, but do beware of the Sunday offer - £9.95 for 3 courses. Whilst this is true, be careful with their King Prawn con - ANY dish containing King Prawn or King Prawns incurs an extra charge of £2.95! I had a nice (could have been hotter) mixed sizzling dish that contained just the one sorry looking King Prawn & still got charged the above. Are Poppadums always 75p. each, or just on Sunday?
Red Fort – LythamGreat food great service looking forward to our next visit.
Michaels Indian Restaurant – BlackpoolLoved Thorntons restaurant - cant wait for the new one on Whitegate Drive - However been trying to book but can't get through.
Michaels Indian Restaurant – BlackpoolThought we would try out the new Indian in town as we love Indian food. The new place looks lovely, love the light change, very romantic, staff friendly. As for the food the worst onion bhajis ever, heavy and doughy, the chicken korma was the worst -- the cream was that thick it would not pour off a spoon. Looked like a thick semolina pudding, no hint of coconut. Wife's favourite but not anymore. All the rest of what we had was ok. Very disappointed as we paid over £40 for two starters, two meals and two drinks.
Michaels Indian Restaurant – BlackpoolWent to the Chu Phoenix last night for my sons birthday we were given a recommendation. The food I could not fault but the service was not what I call special a bit abrupt was my feeling. And who has the bill checked in front of you Won't go again.
Chu’s Phoenix – BlackpoolI don't eat fish but I had the most heavenly portion of chips from here yesterday. Perfect Lancashire/Blackpool chips in my opinion.
Eating Plaice – FleetwoodWe use this takeaway/restaurant as our (fairly) regular Friday night tea. It offers very good and tasty Indian food, they can deliver in the nearby area as well. We think the takeaway is one of the best around here and (although they tried to charge us £4 extra once) there doesn't seem to be any rubbish in the curries. Only thing, most people avoid eating in the restaurant as it is usually empty. They have about five staff on, they just tend to hover around the place and you get the impression you are being watched! Such a shame to see the place empty especially as it offers great food, but we will continue ordering from them!
The Raj – FreckletonWhat a wonderful evening. A very intimate, relaxed but buzzy little eaterie, with warm, unobtrusive yet attentive staff. Delicious food of man sized portions (no room for dessert unfortunately, tempting as they were). Excellent value for money. Our first visit but we will certainly return. Highly recommended.
Olivers – St. Annes-On-SeaWent to the New Holly for our annual line dancing day out ,there was 47 of us. It was recommended by a friend ,we visited it before our trip and were impressed, so returned as a group and dined. Great food, well presented and brilliant service. We spoke to the most accommodating and friendly gentleman Paul, who was the manager. He listened carefully to our requests and consulted with his chef and staff to come up with 3 mains and desserts to offer our ladies. They were varied and all of them were delicious. We were served in good time, the service was amazing, the staff were helpful and polite, the food was delicious and the whole afternoon was a success. We can highly recommend it, it was wonderful.
I've eaten at some of the finest Indian restaurants in the North West of England over the years of which we have many, I would definitely rate Michaels in the Joint 2nd for quality & cleanliness Though a resounding FIRST place overall for of Value for money, Staff/ management efficiency & friendliness I've visited their takeaway outlet near vicarage lane Blackpool ( CURRYTIME) had fantastic meals there also Lynn an the staff there are second to none I look forward to the New restaurant opening ... Passed by yesterday & it looks very classy :) ( I believe it's 16th Sept 2013 ) CAN'T WAIT Can I book a table for 10 in advance
Michaels Indian Restaurant – Thornton-CleveleysBest chinese I have ever eaten. Really nice staff as well, Love it x
Woo Sang Chinese Takeaway – BlackpoolWent to this restaurant on Friday night . What a find. Fantastic service by very helpful and friendly staff. Food was amazing and service was second to none. It's a must if you're going to Blackpool.
La Fontana – BlackpoolWent here on the back of the recommendation on Sugarvine in their Guest Blog. Had no idea it was here on Red Bank Road and to be honest the façade or décor don’t really do it justice. But the food is the thing – Italian with a Sardinian twist. It was packed on a Saturday night and we were lucky to get a table. Tried the calamari and the Sardinian antipasti for starters, shared a special Sardinian pasta dish with a tomato and aromatic sausage sauce and then I went old school with Beef Stroganoff and my wife had the Green cod from the specials board. And all washed down with a bottle of Cannonau. With so many Italians to choose from (two more on Red Bank Road!) it’s nice to see these Sardinian specialities on offer. My advice would be always keep an eye on the Specials board.
Terra Nostra – BisphamHad my birthday party at Gennars ltalian restaurant, the restaurant was very busy with a great atmosphere. The newly decorated dining area upstairs is really nice, the service was very friendly by the attentive waiters and bar staff and had a very warm welcome from Gennaro. We all opted for the set menu at 15.95 for a 3 course meal which l thought was excellent value for money, l had chicken wings to start which was lovely followed by salmon princess served with prawns in a cream sauce with potatoes and a medley of vegetables. For dessert l had home made tiramisu. l can highly recommend Gennars, worth a mention Sunday to Thursday a pizza or pasta dish is 3.95 .Thank you Gennaro for a lovely evening in your Restaurant
Dom’s Italian – Poulton-Le-FyldeI have stayed at Mode many times through work over the past few years and can definitely reommend it. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, and the manager and staff couldnt do better. Note there is no evening restaurant but there are lots of options locally; and the honesty-bar is a nice touch :) Good value; a good base for the area; always a pleasure to stay.
Mode Hotel – St. Annes-On-SeaHad a wonderfull sunday lunch with wine on 18th August. What a little gem this place is! Hospitality from Danny and crew second to none, food excellent, prices more than reasonable, deserve to do well. Will definitely be back.
