Turkish Palace – BlackpoolTried this restaurant on my first ever visit to St Annes. The staff are very attentive and friendly, the owner sets high standards and want's the best for his customers. If there is a problem he will do his utmost to correct it. The food......delicious! After starting with some papadoms I had a main from the restaurants speciality list (Manpasand Chicken Mild) along with a Garlic and Coriander Naan bread, washed down with a lovely pint of Indian lager. I finished everything......the main especially lovely although I could not fault a thing including the prices! Would recommend and will certainly return when I next visit St Annes.
Moghul Tandoori Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaMy friend and I had the Super-Saver lunch at Portofino today, which was incredible value for money at only £10.99. My starter was wild mushrooms on crostini and was absolutely delicious. I had pan-fried hake next, which was perfectly cooked, sitting on top of very finely sliced potatoes, which were brown and crispy at the edges and served with aubergine and courgette slices. What a wonderful chef they have there! We can't wait to go back again for lunch!
Portofino – LythamWow! What can I say. The Food was fantastic, the service excellent and the staff were so friendly. The Honey Roast Ham was the best I have ever tasted. I consider myself to be a very good cook and am often dissapointed with 'run of the mill' pub type grub. Taste is a proper home cooked Bistro offering plenty of freshly cooked food. Definately recommend.
Taste – Thornton-Cleveleysthe best cafe ever the food is excelent im 13 and i was very picky before going to taste now i try lots of new stuff there and i enjoy it thoroughly! definatly go there, good price and very warming staff!
Taste – Thornton-CleveleysWe paid for ensuite @ £45 but not really an ensuite room as shower didn't run warm. Told to use neighbouring bathroom but not offered any money back even though standard rooms are only £28.ROOM NOT AS DESCRIBED..On Arrival, the welcome wasn't as expected of a hotel. There was no bedding on the bed when we entered the room and towels from the previous guests were left sprawled over the wardrobe. When the bedding was finally put onto the bed, the extras (petals etc.) that are on the pictures online were not provided. The bedding was uncomfortable, it felt cheap and rough. There were stains up the walls that could be covered up with a lick of paint. Considering it is "refurbished" the TV provided in the room did not work as there was no digital feed and obviously there is no analogue signal now. The carpet in the bedroom was covered in bits, it looked as though it had not been vacuumed after previous guests had vacated the room. The carpet strip between the bedroom and bathroom was unsafe and if all that wasn't enough, the view from the room was absolutely awful, it looked like a tip. The lock on the bathroom door didn't work and the toilet roll holder was broken. Both the window in the bedroom and the window in the bathroom were stiff as well. The description on line also mentioned free wi-fi which we could not find when searching for it. THE BREAKFASTOur breakfast was inclusive within our £45 but that wasn't much good either. There were no menus to give us an idea of the options for breakfast, the table was wobbly, there was a plug socket hanging off the wall and the breakfast when brought to us was nothing brilliant either. We had ordered beans on toast and a toasted bacon sandwich. The beans on toast came with un-buttered toast and a minimal amount of beans between the two slices of toast. The toasted bacon sandwich came with one small slice of bacon and again un-buttered toast. No sauces were offered to us either. Very disappointed with our stay, won't be staying there again and will be requesting a refund.
Turkish Palace – BlackpoolMy husband and I and a couple we visited Lytham with fancied an ice cream on what was the hottest day of the year so far. Saturday 26th May. We wanted a homemade icecream and did some quick street market research. Several people clutching what looked like very good ice creams directed us to Fancy That which was some distance away from where we were. We arrived at exactly 5pm to be told "we are closing and you cant have an icecream". Come on guys you are a cafe/icecream parlour in a seaside resort on a busy hot Saturday in todays economic climate nobody can afford to turn business away. We visit Lytham frequently and will never trouble you again to sell us your very expensive icecream.
Fancy That – Lythamnever disappointed with the food. always friendly - the bill never a shock.new outside eating area very nice too .
Dahlia’s Kitchen – BlackpoolYou can always rely on fine service from the host with the most Martin.
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamHad a really lovely Indian meal at this restaurant. Staff could not do enough to ensure we had a lovely time. Very clean establishment. I know times are hard but people should, if they can, go out and support their local restaurants or we could end up losing them which means more people out of work and the loss of some great restaurants. Will definately visit again on my next trip
Moghul Tandoori Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaJava serves over priced non edible so called food in a tiny pit. We took visitors to Java recently and experienced the worst customer service possible, firstly being seated 4 people to a table set for 2 in front of the bar where customers continued to push past us. We then had to wait 45mins for our food to arrive which was over cooked and minimal. The chicken was rock hard and the salad consisted of nothing but lettuce leaves with the kids pizza like rubber and not even cut. They didn't provide a children's menu so therefore had to order off the main menu which was overpriced for a child's portion. When we tried to explain or dissatisfaction the staff did not seem interested. During or wait for food we witnessed staff making numerous mistakes with food and beverage orders to other tables. I will never be back in Java again and highly recommend no one else goes if they expect standard customer service with appetising food.
Java – LythamWe visited Constantines for the first time this eveningand we weren't disappointed. The owners are very welcoming and personable, the decor fresh and clean. For starters i had the Scallops another first for me and they were truly delicious. My main course was the lamb rump my husband opting for the T bone steak the lamb was really tasty and tender, i also sampled the T bone steak and it was melt in the mouth delicious i will definately be ordering it when i return. The portions were generous and i had to squeeze in dessert of chocolate fudge cake another winner served with ice cream and cream. We also sampled the coffee and mints as we were enjoying ourselves so much. The prices were very reasonable and we will definately be returning as soon as we can get another babysitter.
Constantine’s – BlackpoolRecently under new management we visited Jade Delight on a Monday evening our party consisted of two adults and 2 children. We opted for the all you can eat buffet at £9.95 per adult we were quickly seated and invited to help ourselves to the range of starters on offer including crispy duck pancakes, spare ribs in various sauces, won tons, soup dim sum etc they even had chicken nuggets and chips for the kids. all the dishes were hot and refreshed regularly. For our main we had a variety of dishes from the menu where you can order regular or smaller portions if you wish to sample. The lemon chicken was fantastic as was the kung po pork and noodles. For dessert you can help yourself to various flavours of ice cream, fruit salad fresh fruit and i can highly recommend the coconut and mango jelly. The staff were very attentive and polite and very interested in our feedback. I would definately recommendJade Delight and i'm sure we will be paying another visit very soon, the only downside was that i couldn't eat more.
Jade Delight Oriental Buffet Restaurant – BlackpoolWe have been eating at Tiggywinkles for over 5 years now and can highly recommend it. The food is all home made none of this readymade heated up in the microwave rubbish that most places serve and charge a fortune for. I can highly recommend the homemade lasagne and chips a personal favourite and the lamb Henry. The chips are "proper" chips so tasty and the portions are more than generous. You won't get a warmer welcome anywhere else that is one of the reasons people return year upon year.
Tiggy Winkles Of Bond Street – Blackpool23rd may Just had the worst pub food (worst food ever that i have to pay for) at this venue. Please don't wast your time or money. This is the first review i have written but feel i had to warn others not to waste money ..the bill £34. Am now home and making my wife and i something edible to eat
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamWhat a lovely meal we have just had at Java and the staff are always really helpful we will come again really soon
Java – LythamWe have just recently had are wedding reception at the Venue and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. From the moment we went in to view the room to collecting our stuff after the party, Jackie and her staff were fantastic in every sense of the word. Everything ran beautifully well, we were inundated with comments from guests about how good the food was. Nothing was too much in preparation for wedding which helped set my wife's mind at ease on more than one occasion. We really can't thank every member of staff enough for helping make our wedding the success it was. Thank you all so very much, we are so grateful for all your fantastic work.
