I have eaten here a few times and its been ok but I had a meal here on Sunday and I was disappointed really. We were given dirty cutlery that was clearly filthy; in fact I don’t think they had even been washed! I am quite funny with cleanliness and tried my best not to let it put me off my food but to be fair it did do. When the food arrived it looked nice enough but tasted bland and greasy, we had the mushroom, black pudding and chicken to start and then for the mains we had smothered chicken that was passable, sausage and mash (my dish) that just tasted cheap and the gravy tasted like oxo cubes….I didn’t eat much of it so that the dog was happy getting my left overs, and finally my mum had the seafood platter which she really enjoyed especially the roll mop herrings. Like I said the food is usually good here so maybe you were just having an off day but giving filthy cutlery out is just not acceptable…not sure if I will be coming here again which is a shame because this really is a lovely venue and the wines are great!

My wife and I visited The Cartford Inn last week by chance and were delighted without find. The Inn is in fantastic surroundings, with views of the hills in the background and the river running right next to it. The atmosphere in the Inn was brilliant with great ambient music, excellent staff and the perfect ambience for an enjoyable meal. Which brings me onto the food - they are a Michelin recommended restaurant and we had great expectations which were easily surpassed. They serve the best fish and chips i have ever had - hands down! I would recommend a trip here whenever the possibility arises.

just had the nicest meal ever at Margherita. I had a chicken dish with tomato sauce and it was delicious!! My hubby and kids had pizza and they really were the best ever. So nice to enter a place and have service with a smile!! Loved it!!

We ate here last Sunday and felt I had to comment on the excellent food. I had a chicken tikka balti and have to say it was the best I have ever had, and I've eaten a few!! I did feel it was a little on the expensive side though, we had the sunday meal deal costing £9.95 each but by the time we had added naan breads, popadums and drinks etc we spent over £45 for 2 adults and 2 small children. We will definitely eat there again but maybe just get a takeaway in future and eat in on special occasions.

Have never made it to Buraq before - partly because it’s Kirkham-way and requires a drive to get there and partly because from the outside it doesn’t look up to much (the Little Chef school of architecture). But they say never judge a book by the cover and having eaten at Buraq for the first time this week I have to say I was really blown away by the experience. There’s a stylish bar area with funky lighting, wooden floors, comfy leather sofas and chunky wooden tables and a dining room that is really more like a fine dining restaurant. We got a booth as it was fairly quiet on a Wednesday evening, and literally spent five minutes complimenting the décor and ambience. Quite simply, you will not find a more luxurious Indian restaurant in the Fylde. And as for the “mints” at the end you will have to go there and find out for yourselves. . .

No doubt, Ego Lytham certainly looks fantastic and the staff are excellent. However I was not impressed with the food. Mussels were all closed and had to send them back. Steak asked for a medium, was raw inside. Sent it back. Manager was very pleasant and appeared to be concerned but I'm not sure. They always say if you have one bad meal you should always try again, just incase. But to be honest. I think I'll give it a miss and stick to Portofino in future.

good food shame about the service! visited here for a meal on a weekday about 5.30 for the 3 course earl bird. Nice enough food but took AGES to come. Think 2and a half hours is a long time in which to have a meal (especially with a young child). Mentioned this as we paid - they said they were short staffed. We have eaten there a few times in the past and its always been the same. Sadly now won't be going back. Buck up your service the Grapes!!!

Ate at Ego last night - to be honest it was disappointing - we had been told by others that this was the case but decided to try anyway - the starters were ok but the main courses were overcooked -although we weren't charged for the fishcakes it rather spoiled the evening. We eat out often in Lytham and this is the only time we have been disappointed by the food -It is a great shame as the building, atmosphere & staff were all excellent - just the food wasn't all it should have been - sadly

as a tourist in Blackpool i was recommended to try this restaurant by the hotel owner. i have to say the restaurants decor simple clean and classy. the staff are friendly attentive but not intrusive and the food wonderful. my husband and i are from wales and i have to say one of the best Indian restaurants we have been to cant recommend this restaurant highly enough. fab meal thanks

The restaurant really adds a sense of style to what had been one of the more run down streets in Lytham, lovely exterior and the inside is very stylish. Food ingredients are good quality but the finished dishes are uninspired. Service is excellent but the evening we dined the manager was addressing her "troops" within the restaurant area and we were able to hear perfectly how to "push" the appetizers and the level of competition between the various outlets. Best kept for backstage we felt. An adequate place to dine, but not special enough to trouble other local restaurants.

One,if not THE Fyldes best Indian Restaurant.Excellent fresh food,great service and excellent prices. We travel over 30 mins to eat at this restaurant even though there are others near by 10/10

This is the best fish and chip shop in Blackpool, i would recommend this chippie to anyone. Go you will love it.

after visiting this pub on Friday for the first time, i can not believe why i have missed out this great place for so long. the pub is so clean, well run what a great time we had. The food was great, service was excellent, i would rate it 10/10. please go and see for yourself. would recommend the steak with pepper sauce and burgers.

A restaurant/takeaway that takes pride in their surroundings but more importantly their food. The mixed starter was good although i can never understand why they have to add chicken wings. the beef red curry was great. lots of beef in a creamy coconut sauce. It could of been a little spicier. Overall a great first impression. recommend to anyone

Every time we visit Blackpool eating at Truffles is a must! such good food and pleasant surroundings,recommended!!
