First time here and was impressed, great food, lots to choose from most staff friendly and polite, Cleared our table of dirty plates quickly. Only negative was guy serving the lobster needs to learn to crack a smile a bit more.

Had a very good Sunday Roast which was well prepaired and presented. The staff were friendly and attentive. There was also live music from around 5pm.

Fresh and delicious food. My family and I had a lovely time at your restaurant.

Fantastic meal, had some family over from up north mentioned how kind and polite the staff were. Food was great and we loved the atmosphere. Definitely having more options for dessert would be great but overall a great lunch

Went for a meal to start my stag do , they placed us near the food which was good as my dad is disabled, but the food was not great at all the pork and some chicken wasn’t cooked and still pink lucky I noticed before eating . There was no beer on tap as they ran out then ran out of bottled beer. The place was roasting hot and was hard to sit in there and eat

A very enjoyable meal , well cooked with generous portions and good value for money. Excellent service in our local pub.

We recently visited the Half Moon for an evening meal. The staff were so warm friendly and welcoming, two of our party were partially able, however the staff went above and beyond to make the experience very joyful. The menu was varied and made ordering extremely hard, as the choice was fantastic. When our meals promptly arrived., it was presented well and tasted sublime. They may be called the Half Moon, but they definitely don't do things by half. A little gem in Petersfield well done 5 ☆

Had a lovely meal with family and friends. Serving staff very friendly. Some meals are quite pricey for the portion size (steak) but the food is very tasty. I just would like more atmosphere and decoration in the restaurant area as it feels like a cafe and I have mentioned this before. Green leafy plants around or decorations from beams etc

Wonderful friendly team made our visit very enjoyable, and we had a lovely lunch. So very happy!

This was my first time going and I will definitely be going back. We booked a table and got there early, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and got us seated. Great selection of food and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Another enjoyable meal at this friendly inn. Despite being a very busy Saturday evening the service couldn't be faulted and the staff as cheerful as usual.

We visit the Platform Tavern and enjoy their food. Sunday was a family visit for 6 of us including 2 vegans. We all enjoyed the food and have always enjoyed the ambience of the Platform Tavern. Food is very tasty and good portions. Service is friendly. We shall continue to visit the Platform Tavern for meals out and sometimes to enjoy the live music on offer.

Excellent lunch, prawn and smoked salmon salad was delicious. Service great and atmosphere just right for an English.

We ate at The Chequers on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon and enjoyed the Caesar salad and a Ploughman's lunch in the lovely garden. Both meals were really tasty and excellent value. The bar has a good selection of beers and ciders on tap.

Variety of food very good, but a lot of it was only lukewarm, carvery wasn't very selective and one of my party felt her prawns were under cooked. Other than that all was good and service waiters were on the ball.
