We requested a table in the window to make the most of the beautiful views, and we got one. I would definitely recommend this option. The food was delicious and the portions were generous, four empty plates from us. The service was very good from smiling jolly staff who looked happy to be in work. The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenSeems to have gone downhill, this WAS one of our regulars. The service was awful despite the pub being half empty, starters were fine, but mains include fish pie that was just mush with hardly any fish fajitas with dripping greasy peppers and a cheese and onion pie that had gone flat in the microwave. No meal check or would have complained, everything seemed like too much trouble for the waiting staff!
