A Hidden Gem – Will Definitely Be Back! Visited this lovely local Italian for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. I had the fillet steak, which was cooked to perfection and served with a great choice of sauces. The service was warm, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Prices were reasonable for the quality, making it excellent value. A fantastic first visit – we’ll definitely be returning!
Siena – RossendaleThis was my first visit here and it won't be my last. The food was so good. The menu has something for everyone. I had the pulled pork tacos. They were delicious. The staff are so friendly without being overbearing. There is a nice buzz and you can have a conversation as its not loud. The views are stunning.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallLovely meal from early evening menu. I was so pleased that home made bread is still offered as a taster, very good value and served by great staff.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeAnother superb meal! Eating here is a fantastic experience, booking was easy, the welcome on arrival warm and friendly. The atmosphere is always good, the staff are fantastic - consummate professionals each and every one of them. The Lunesdale is excellent, fantastic food and great value for money. We are very happy to drive quite a bit out of our way to eat here
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleThis is a real gem of a restaurant. Good location, great atmosphere and beautiful food. We come here for special occasions as it's a real treat. Reasonably priced - we got three dishes for £20 together with a steak dish so, less than £20 each excluding drinks. Highly recommended and will continue to visit. Staff always polite and friendly.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallOur regular place to eat out with friends, never disappoints. Excellent choice of food, always great service. Our favourite Italian.
Papa Luigis – ChorleySix weeks ago, I personally visited the restaurant to book a table for a 30th birthday celebration. I wanted to have a face-to-face discussion with the owner to go over specific details, including our preferred table location and room. This was crucial because we had previously experienced a less-than-ideal dining situation in the bar area previously. Despite that, some members of our group were eager to celebrate at this restaurant, and I was willing to give them another chance based on my prior experience. During my conversation with the owner, he was engaging and seemed genuinely committed to making our 30th birthday party a success. FAST FORWARD 6 WEEKS on the day of the celebration, I arrived at the venue with balloons and cake one hour before our booking slot, only to be told that we wouldn’t be seated in the agreed-upon area. Instead, they had taken another booking (a baby shower) that was deemed more financially beneficial, despite my reservation being made weeks earlier. I had not been notified of this by anyone from CDJ despite the time and effort I had put in with the owner to make sure all the detail was covered. Disappointingly, CDJ's approach was we would just be sat anywhere when we our party turned up… The response I received was disappointing: I was told, “You can all sit here,” pointedly in the bar area that I had specifically requested to avoid due to my past experience. After advocating for our case, I was met with indifference—“there’s nothing we can do about it.” Fortunately, we quickly found a new venue, The Retreat Bromley Cross, where we had a fantastic experience. The Sunday dinner platter was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, all at half the price of what we would have spent at CDJ for the very same food... I’m grateful to CDJ for inadvertently leading us to discover The Retreat. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Retreat (Bromley Cross) it as a modern, trendy food haven—a perfect spot for socialising and enjoying a meal.
CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenMy friend and I had a lovely lunch at Bread and Butter. We pre booked a table as we know it can be busy at lunch time, the online booking was straightforward. Papa Luigis – ChorleyWent for Sunday lunch with my wife , pub was rammed which is always a good sign . Ordered a cheese and tomato flatbread to start and two 10 hour slow cooked Briskets. Wow great portion sizes and fantastic quality produce, little thing like temderstem instead of normal broccoli and the shredded cabbage and smoked bacon in the ramekins screams attention to detail. Best roast I’ve ever had and I make a banging roast. Excellent service and great value . We will be back!!
