Been to the Dog inn a few times now food and service excellent staff friendly and made you feel comfortable will be going again and would recommend to anyone.

Booked Sunday Lunch at the Lunesdale Arms for my Birthday on 5th July. We were looking forward to the roast beef. I started with the Spanish Hash which was very enjoyable. The main course arrived and looked great, however, the roast beef was very tough, and for me was lacking in flavour with the fatty edges not rendered down. my partner complained to the head waiter (I think) he offered her a 'sharp knife' which she turned down, they then offered to change her meal to chicken which she accepted. However, I had finished my meal before her replacement dinner arrived. On the positive side, all the veg. roast potatoes & Yorkshire pudding were very good. We decided to have a desert we were given a menu but nobody returned to take our order having waited 15 min. or more, so we paid the bill and left.

A party of 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed Sunday lunch. We had 2 beef, 2 gammon and 2 chicken and everyone of them was so nice. Would definitely recommend.

The service was extremely slow although they did apologise. As we were seated another couple were leaving as they hadn’t been served so there was obviously a problem The food when it came was very much below par to the extent that my husband couldn’t eat his he said it tasted like it had been cooked once then reheated and was inedible. The meal was made even more unpleasant by the very loud group on a neighbouring table We decided to skip dessert and go home. As we have previously had good meals here and it was a special occasion we were very disappointed

I had roast beef dinner Sunday 5th July. The beef was excellent but the roast potatoes had been warmed up too many times and were rock hard and barely any potato left inside. Too much gravy on top of mashed potatoes and carrots, maybe serve gravy in a separate jug? My partner had burger of the day and thoroughly enjoyed it and the 2 others on the table had S+P chicken wrap which they enjoyed also. My partner and I went the Sunday before for breakfast and we were very disappointed the chef served the poached eggs to us! The yolks were hard and the egg whites had split and look awful. Won't be going for breakfast again! We will maybe try other dishes on the menu though. Staff lovely and atmosphere is good. Nice pub

We booked for 5, mainly for a Sunday lunch but when we Arrived there was non available which was disappointing. However the menu choice is so good & we all found a dish. Really good service & very tastey hot food served. Would recommend & definitely come back.

What can I say, start to finish everything was perfect. The pub itself is charming. Food was perfect, decent portion and very tasty. 10/10. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

Dissatisfaction meal was ok but nit happy paying £4.00 for extra gravy !! Will nit be returning

Wanted to have brunch with my Daughter for a catch up staff really looked after us the food was amazing will be back
