Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFirst visit since the redesign, loved the layout, nice and spacious. Prompt, friendly service and most accommodating with the change requests to some menu options. Tasty and well cooked main meals, just large portions and gravy had a layer of oil which made it difficult to pour to get the actual gravy. Excellent jam roly poly, light and delicious sticky toffee pudding, just too sweet with the toffee sauce and the toffee apple crumble became apple crumble when asked for custard and not the toffee sauce. Drinks on the expensive side.

Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyWhat a fantastic roast. Great food, great service and warm atmosphere. You need to book. This place gets busy, which is great to see. New beer garden incoming too!
Griffins Head Bar and Grill – AccringtonWe ate here on a Monday evening, one adult, one teen and one child. Firstly the atmosphere felt welcoming as we entered, secondly the young girl who allocated us to a table and who served us was polite and engaging. Nothing was to much trouble. We enjoyed our meals, we had a lasagne, adult fish and chips and a child’s meal. I didn’t think the child’s meal was good value for money, I think it was £8.99 which did include ice cream but the meal was only tomato pasta, not too costly to make. The apple juices I ordered were served in small school type beakers so several gulps from a thirsty child and they needed replacing. All in all we enjoyed it and we will visit again. It would be nice if the owners acted on the critique and adapted the children’s menu and soft drinks sizes/prices. Staff excellent.
The Hapton Inn – BurnleyBooking was easy. The welcoming and service was excellent. Throughout our meal, the staff were amazing and helpful. The venue was busy, which helped to create a great atmosphere. The food was superb, as usual and the wine was value for money. Overall, a great night and would recommend to anyone. Thank you.
