Visiting the area for the football match in May. Food was fantastic but the venue was very cold. Had to sit in coats. It needs some heating

We had a lovely lunch at Finsley Gate Wharf on Sunday . Food was excellent . The canal side setting is great. Best of all was the friendly helpful staff .

Very nice food, had the Malaysian King Prawn curry which was really tasty. It can be hit and miss when pub restaurants have an extensive menu but not so at the Whitchaff, we’ve had a number of different dishes but always good. Minor criticism on a couple of the things we had, the starter olives were £4.50 but a tiny portion, plus my half and half desert/coffee wasn’t value for money at £8.50. The Bakewell tart which I think was actually a treacle tart was minuscule in comparison to my wife’s half and half but at this stage I was pretty full and happy after a great main course. Just needs to be a bit more consistent on size.

Another excellent meal at Verdes - efficient service, food excellent, lovely staff. It was busy on the Tuesday night (Pizza & pasta £6.95)- so book in advance to secure your table. Highly recommended

We had food from the lunch menu. Great options, lovely food and good quality ingredients.and very reasonable prices. 5stars to the chef! The venue is very clean, the atmosphere is very friendly being a family run pub who chatted to us about upcoming work being done to the beer garden and other events upcoming. We will be back very soon and look forward to the new outside area. 5stars from myself and friends.

We went for the chippy tea for 6 people. As per usual the food was of the highest calibre, the portions huge. The service is excellent. Last week we went for a 7 course taster menu. It was a mixture of fish and meat courses. All well thought out, and accompanied with wine flight. At £65 per head it was excellent. Top restaurant quality food. The traders is outstanding and I would highly recommend.

Booked a table with special request to be able to see the football showing that evening. All arrangements made and staff were really helpful. The food was fantastic and all enjoyed the evening.

We ordered the smash burger and the sharer surf and turf! Was delicious! Great service and amazing views. Great local pub if you live in Todmorden or Hebden Bridge.

Food was very good. Asked for half portion of chips to save waste, but received full portion. But overall, everything was very good. Definitely recommend.

It was the 1st time visiting the 3 Millstones for dinner. Lovely place, friendly staff. Excellent food, I had the Suet Steak Pudding which was smaller than the one they used to have at the Brown Cow, Chatburn but was far more tastier, the home cooked chips were really good. Will definitely return.

Verdes is a local and frequently visited restaurant for us. We don’t usually go on a Saturday evening and when we got there they were clearly very busy. We were invited into the green room as our table wasn’t ready which was fine. We had a drink and were soon shown to our table. Despite the restaurant being full the service was excellent. All the meals we ordered arrived quickly and were very good quality with the exception of the trio of bruschetta which was a rather stodgy white bread which hadn’t been toasted. The prices were very reasonable. We’ll be back soon.
