First time visit on a detour drive to Warrington, we were welcomed by big smiles from the friendly staff who were more than happy to help. We were sat down with a window view overlooking the beautiful hills and valleys. The decor is what I love about a pub, keeping the history of the building at heart. Meals were fantastic, all four of us enjoyed what we had picked. The youngest son has already asked when we next visit Warrington to see family can we do the same again an come back to visit. All in all an top family friendly pub. Would highly recommend, thank you for having us!

Great food and service in a fantastic restaurant with superb views across to the west coast. Will definitely return.

We had our lunch here as a treat for my husband's birthday and the food was some of the best we've ever had. Absolutely beautiful. And they came out at the end with a sparkler candle in his dessert. The 2 staff that served us were lovely young people. A credit to their parents. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent as usual. This really is a special place for breakfast and lunch. A real family favourite. Usually have the excellent Korean fried chicken burger but finally had a change of dish. I can highly recommend the chicken burger and the crispy battered king prawns. Perfect dishes, quality ingredients and a real attention to detail. A real pleasure to eat here.

Delighted with our meal at The Dog. Great food at a reasonable price. We at outside overlooking Darwen Tower and the views were suprtb. The highlight of our visit was the young lady who served us! She was brilliant: kind, helpful, efficient and friendlt. A real jewel in the crown. Best wishes JIM

We had a lovely meal today. All food of excellent quality. Atmosphere lovely and they managed to keep it cool. Everywhere clean including the facilities Staff all very pleasant and obliging.
