Excellent food! Stumbled across this pub as somewhere to eat before a gig in Todmorden. The Sunday Roast did not disappoint and was huge! A very cosy country pub. Will definitely pay another visit

Here’s a polished review you could post: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We visited for the Sunday lunch sharing platter roast and honestly… wow. It was absolutely amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection, huge portions, and full of flavour – easily one of the best roasts we’ve had in a long time. The staff were fantastic from start to finish – friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The whole experience felt relaxed and special. We genuinely can’t believe we haven’t been before. We’ll definitely be back very soon – already looking forward to our next visit!

Excellent as usual. Great atmosphere, best choice of drinks and lovely food. We had the deli and cheese platter but the staff were happy to swap some items. Never hesitate to eat and drink here, you won’t be disappointed

nice friendly welcome, reasonably busy when arrived just after 1pm, bought drink,landlord (i think) straight away offered to open a tab, showed me to table by window as was waiting friend. Friend chose the chilli chicken ciabatti that came with small salad/fries, whereas I chose the lunchtime hotpot,omg,full of lean meat, very lean and came with portion of red cabbage and warm bread roll. Must admit, I've not visited for quite few years but will definite have another visit on the cards. Good selections on the menus nice cosy atmosphere and ample drinks available, oh...... plus big car park to the rear and looks like they have themed/artiste nights. !! Thankyou!!

I always enjoy visiting Bees — the atmosphere is wonderful and the food is consistently excellent. I run a British Sign Language class next door at Primrose Gardens, and during our break yesterday, eleven of my learners popped in for breakfast. We’d pre‑ordered before the class started, and everything arrived promptly. We all really enjoyed our food and drinks. For many of the learners, it was their first time at Bees, and they were full of compliments about the quirky décor and the quality of the food. Several of them said they’ll be coming back in their own time, and they’d love to do the same again during our next Saturday class. Thank you for being so efficient and accommodating within the time constraints — it was very much appreciated.

As always food was excellent as were the staff, portions were more than enough and there are good offers on before the evening rush.

Food as always was amazing & the staff friendly. Service after the drinks & mains order was slower than normal and it was cold in the restaurant. Though we were an early lunch just after opening time.

Last night we held my 80th birthday party at the Shepherd's Rest and the food was great as was the service. Thank you all for your assistance in making this a night to remember.
