Superb food with a wonderful warm welcome! Not easy at such a busy time of year! Every dish is meticulously prepared, always a delicious combination of flavours. Specials are a must, get them while you can, ribs and Panelle are our faves. Great service and atmosphere, love coming here!!!

Met with a friend and had a really lovely meal. Great service too. Decor is lovely and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the Simply Red and UB4O best of compilations too. No extra service charge added on which is rare nowadays. Will return when next in the area.

Awful wine at the bar before our meal, white and rose at £8 a glass! We changed for the pinot , still not great. The minestrone soup came, had to send two back was tepid. Then my son’s tomato pasta came, very bland. Spaghetti bolognaise was tasteless too. Ans the bill was £195 for 4 adults and 1 child.

We had a lovely meal very welcoming. Gracy was very happy when the waitresses song happy birthday to her.

Fabulous food and service

Absolutely stunning food, staff are amazing and the service was very prompt. I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.. Also the pub looks stunning inside, and just adds to the atmosphere in there and we are very lucky to have a high quality local country pub…

Had a wonderful meal on NYE, the best food and music. A huge selection of drinks and really enjoyed the service and overall atmosphere. We’ll be back!

The food was great honestly and the service was amazing

I had an excellent meal here yesterday. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Good value. Only 4/5 for atmosphere because I felt the music was a bit too loud for a restaurant and it was rather cold.

Always good food, service and atmosphere. They'd run out of the ragu special, but otherwise brill.

Great food great service great venue!

Excellent service and a delicious roast dinner. The sirloin melted and the Yorkshire puddings were delicious. I recommend the Parkin for desert.

A superb way to start 2024 Tremendous selection of starters, main courses and deserts served by extremely efficient and courteous waitresses. Although the dining room was extremely busy the table was set and prepared for the pre-booked time. As soon as we were seated a waitress presented and explained to us the various lunch menus with a request if anyone would like any pre-lunch drinks We were given ample time to choose the options available and orders were given for starters, main courses and selected wines The quality of all the food choices was more than our expectations considering the pressure the kitchen staff must have been under and I have no hesitation in recommending this establishment to others We will be back in the near future to once again enjoy the excellent food and drink

We went for lunch on New Year’s Day. There were three menus and so an extensive choice of dishes. We both had three courses. Each dish was lovely, well-presented and beautifully cooked. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were both very impressed and will return for our next special occasion.

The food was amazing and as it was Christmas the decorations made the place even cosier than usual. I could have sat by the fire all day. Lovely staff and the service they provided was top notch.
