The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenFantastic experience the food was 10 out of 10 (I had the big breakfast) and the service was spot on. Would definitely recommend it.
Maxy Farm Pantry & Restaurant – PrestonWe visited as a relaxing treat after the Christmas hustle and bustle and it was perfect. The ambiance is very relaxed with attentative staff. The starters and mains were cooked to perfection and filled with flavour. The price is a little higher than many other places in Clitheroe but you get what you pay for and the extra little cost is well worth it. We will return, probably next time we'll try the Wednesday evening steak offer.
Toms Table – ClitheroeGreat meal. Lovely surroundings. First class service.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWe booked for a lunch and there was 12 of us on Friday 29th December. The booking was simple, I was able to pre book the meals and the table setting was great, allowing us all to sit together. The food was delicious and all served at the same time being cooked fresh to order. We'd definitely eat here again, the food was good value for money and there was free parking. The location is convenient, straight off the Haslingden bypass.
Griffins Head Bar and Grill – AccringtonExcellent food, brilliant service and a great atmosphere
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallGreat food, as always. Only negative was that it was a little on the cool side in the restaurant.
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyFood was delicious!! Had the fillet steak & requested a Diane sauce which was no trouble. Best steak I’ve had in years! I usually have pizza. Service good , staff friendly. Very busy, but it’s that time of year. Always enjoy eating here & enjoy the ambiance of the bar for pre-dinner drinks. Can’t wait to dine here again soon!!
Quattro’s – OrmskirkDelicious food lovely staff we had a great evening .
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallFour of us went for dinner on a Thursday evening, between Christmas and New Year. The pub / restaurant was very busy - which was great to see. Even though busy the staff were fantastic and worked so hard to keep everybody served. And … by the way - the food was fabulous A great evening and a place to be recommended.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallGood food, excellent service and value for money
Papa Luigis – ChorleyExcellent as always. Beautiful surroundings, great service and delicious food.
Toms Table – ClitheroeLovely restaurant was looking forward to meal with friends , delicious food but unfortunately the heating was not working and restaurant was freezing. Luckily came in big coats so had them over our legs to keep warm. Service was good but felt they could have done more and moved us closer to the only working fire
Toms Table – ClitheroeWe got a small salad and some bread to pick at while we waited (and we did wait quite a long time, unfortunately.) I have to say the salad was quite wilted and starting to go brown but the bread was nice with sesame seeds sprinkled on top. We had 4 starters between us: cheesy mushrooms, creamy mushrooms, hummus and olives. All were lovely but the creamy mushrooms were absolutely amazing! Huge portion too. You could easily share this starter. I would have liked some extra bread to mop up the sauce. We had 2 children’s mains - the unavoidable chicken nuggets for one and pizza for the other. It went down without complaint so I guess it was ok as far as kids’ meals went but I would like to have the option of smaller portions off the main menu options for children. They would have liked chicken wings, lamb etc with rice but it wasn’t an option and we weren’t going to buy large adult portions for half of it to be wasted. I had chicken wings which were simple but delicious. The rice, however, was almost slimy and appeared to have little pieces of noodles mixed in which was a bit strange. Again, the salad was sparse and didn’t look very fresh. We were served an incorrect meal for my partner so he had to wait for the correct one to be cooked while myself and one child had ours. My other child seemed to have been completely forgotten about and didn’t get hers for quite some time so we didn’t really eat together which was a bit of a shame. The service was chaotic and pretty poor with the wrong drinks being brought, wrong food being served and forgotten and my partner’s drink that we ordered half way through just not being served at all. Apparently a lot of staff had called in sick and the manager had been in hospital the night before so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. The surroundings are pretty scruffy to be honest. It needs some investment. Chair upholstery is peeling, the tap in the ladies was literally in half and hanging off and there was no light in the gents at all. I’d get takeaway from here again but I won’t actually eat in there unless the owner sorts out the environment and service.
Anatolia Grill – St HelensWe had a family meal at the Shepherds on the Wed's between Christmas and New year and it was absolutely lovely with great service
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenIris my wife's birthday-with myself/daughter/grandaughter/son-in-law. Everything about he evening was perfect. Menu/Service/Staff/Quality of food BRILLIANT We had a great evening!!!!
Quattro’s – OrmskirkHad a lovely meal and were particularly impressed by the young, very polite and cheerful staff. Thankyou
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenVery good food and service. Lovey comfortable atmosphere even for a busy Boxing Day. I have only given 4/5 for the food simply because there were 4 items that were unavailable from the menu. The food that was prepared for us was lovely.
