Sydney’s of Lancaster – LancasterI have never had such an experience. It was an absolute farce. We had booked for afternoon tea. Arrived and sat down. My wife asked for coffee but was told she could not have it because it was not on the menu. I showed the waiter the website which said unlimited tea or coffee. He said it’s not on the printed menu so we could not have it. I asked to speak to the manager the waiter said he was the manager. But could not make that decision. It was so ludicrous we decided to leave. The waiter then proceeded to follow us out to the car saying we could email or talk to I think he said Louise or Lizzie. To be honest by this time I was so annoyed by the hole situation I wasn’t listening and got in the car. He carried on talking to my wife saying he would get in trouble if he had given her coffee. I have had too many afternoon teas to count but this one I didn’t have will be the most memorable for all the wrong reasons. I would advise anyone thinking of frequenting you establishment NOT to.
