The Lodge – LancasterPopped infor the first time since lockdown and the food and service was still as good as I remembered it Definitely our favourite restaurant
Quattro’s – OrmskirkVery accommodating, friendly and good service. Great location good atmosphere and vibe. Directly on canal and lovely feel next to water.
The Waterwitch – LancasterThe food, as always, was top notch for a fair price. We opted for the early bird menu which is exceptionally good value, excellent quality and does not skimp on serving size. Food is freshly cooked and always of a very high standard. Our waiter was lovely, service was good and we had no complaints at all. The restaurant complies with all current Covid regulations and I felt perfectly safe. Cannot fault.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyNice lunch. Good service. Good value for money
The Lodge – LancasterLovely meal, as always. Perfect view across the moors. Excellent service. Delicious food. Highly recommend you pay a visit.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnHad lunch yesterday. Was delicious and a really good selection with lots of specials too. Staff were very attentive and knew just when to bring the next dish out. Will definitely go again.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallTook our grown up children for their first visit to The Dog Inn as we had always had lovely food and wanted them to experience if too. However we were disappointed with a few things (even though the food in general was excellent) - 1) the rise in prices. 2) The drinks were very slow in arriving. 3) Plus most importantly, I am a Coeliac and must eat gluten free - I asked which desserts were ok for me and was given 3 options which was good. However when my pannacotta arrived, it had biscuit crumbed all over it. I asked if the biscuit was gf and the lady was flustered and didn't seem to understand what gf was (even though she seemed to be the manager/head waitress). She whisked the dessert away and returned immediately with a new one. Not much apology given to me. Further training should be given as to the importance of gluten free as it's not just a choice of food but essential for coeliacs. If I had eaten the first dessert I would have been violently sick for the whole night.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnBooked Sunday Lunch when staying in the local area and had noticed the previous two days that it was always busy no matter what time we went passed. Turned out it was for good reason: it's a lovely pub, the food was excellent but the service was superb. The owner (whose name I didn't get) was the perfect host and when my youngest daughter said jokingly that she'd like everything off the dessert menu, he only went and sorted it for her!
The Station Hotel – LancasterExcellent good, amazing service, great atmosphere.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallFood was amazing! and the staff are so attentive. Will deffo be coming back!
Astoria – BurnleyAmazing food., great service and lovely location.
The Waterwitch – LancasterOur first time visiting, beautiful restaurant. The food was gorgeous, we had the duck and lasagne. Very well organised covid secure, all staff were lovely and very helpful, look forward to visiting again
Quattro’s – OrmskirkPicked this place a bit blind, was not disappointed. Rooms are beautiful and spacious, and the food was amazing. I’m sure some people take this kind of service and quality for granted, but I find it a rarity. I had bkack pudding starter which was the bast I’ve ever had, and suet pudding main which was also delicious. My wife said the same about the crab cakes and lamb. We will definitely be coming again.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeHaving enjoyed the friendly and professional approach to all issues by staff at Quattros over a number of years. I have again enjoyed a very pleasant evening on Tuesday 13th. The staff, were attentive and pleasant, the menu was varied and provided a number of choices. The food was well prepared and delicious. I would highly recommend the restaurant, and will be enjoying another visit soon .
Quattro’s – OrmskirkWe drove 30 minutes to celebrate our daughter’s birthday, she’s vegan. The setting is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed our food. It is a little pricey though but the location is worth it. Some constructive criticism. The service needs work. Everyone was pleasant enough but some basics need addressing. A bit more of a welcome would be nice, a goodbye and check in to see if everything is ok. I didn’t feel like we were ‘seen’. Once sat down take a drinks order ASAP. Bring the drinks ASAP. Take the food order, bring the cutlery ASAP not once the food is served. No one asked if we would like dessert or anything else, potential missed sale? We had to chase for the bill. If you follow these steps your customers will be happy and it will help with the smooth running of service. And make sure you have plenty of tofu in, it has a long sell but date and for a vegan restaurant it’s pretty important! If an item is not available as 2 things were when we visited then tell your guests straight away. The manager was too busy dashing around to engage with customers. I hope you address these things as you have so much potential. Good luck!
Whins Green KitchenExcellent menu, generous portions, great staff, and the best pub food I've had for a long time, highly recommended
