Zinlynna Coffee and Pizzeria – RawtenstallMy husband retired this week and his boss took us out for lunch here. We really enjoyed the meal, I had the delicious steak and ale pie, my husband had the sirloin steak and his boss had the gammon. We all really enjoyed the meal and my husband and I will be making this our restaurant of choice from now on.
Red Cat – ChorleyOMG the best food I have ever had, the staff are brilliant. I go all the time, love love love it there. You haven't lived until you have been and had their food.
Alghero – ChorleyMy husband and I took a friend out to a meal here on Friday last. We all had fish and chips and basically afterwards we all agreed it was nearly inedible, The fish was completely dry and tasteless, the mushy peas were cold and the chips were undercooked, As we were treating someone we did not complain at the time, but wish we had done.We have eaten here frequently and had very goods meals, but since it became self-service we find the whole place has gone downhill and this was the rock bottom. We will certainly not be going there again.
Guild Merchant – PrestonCalled in for Sunday lunch with 3 friends on January 18th, very warm welcome, the staff were all so very friendly and helpful, the food was very hot and well presented. Oh the veg soup was the best soup that I have ever had , and the roast 100%, thank you all at the Fleece Inn, will see you again next Sunday.
The Fleece Inn – LancasterExtremely disappointing! Booked on Saturday 17th Jan 2015 for 8pm and was told if we arrived at 7:30pm we would almost certainly be able to eat in the restaurant. Arrived at 7:20pm only to be told by the barman that we were the 4th party who had booked but whose names had not been put on the reservation list. We were advised that we could have a table in an hour. Very poor service as all the young waitress could say was.... "We're sorry".No Manager to be seen or heard....needless to say we won't be returning!
Red Cat – ChorleyBest indian take away in Preston. Service and staff exceptional, food consistently good. Always willing to advise on dishes.
Amonbagh Indian Takeaway – PrestonHad a great lunch on my own at Slice of Sicily. A fine Sicilian pizza and a coffee. Managed to get a lot of work done on their Wi-Fi. Great spot just off the motorway in Fulwood near the hospital.
Slice of Sicily in Fulwood – PrestonWe had a meal and the food was great although the staff were to shy to even come talk to us whilst at our table. A big scream of HOW ARE YAH! as soon as you walk in which I found very disrespectful for I am a man who considers a calm evening and a nice chat with the workers, which I am not satisfied with. My favourite was watching the waiter move very fast and frisky with the trolley. Besides that the venue is very neat and was told I would not find a single bit of dust in any corner of the restaurant ,which I am very pleased with. I give them a thumbs up on hygiene. They are doing the very best they can but can be more active with the customers.
Anaz Indian Restaurant – DarwenVISITED NEW YEARS EVE A PARTY OF SIX. WE HAD EXCELLENT FOOD AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE, FIRST CLASS SERVICE AND TO CAP IT ALL CHAMPAGNE AND FIREWORKS TO BRING IN THE NEW YEAR. WELL DONE TO EVERYONE AT GREAT LAND.
Great Land Cantonese Restaurant – ClitheroeWent for Sunday lunch and had the roast beef. Absolutely delicious- tender, very tasty and well cooked fresh vegetables. Drinks a bit pricey but beautiful setting and will go back in the spring to dine outside with great views across the valley.
Clog and Billycock – BlackburnWas going to go to Langs of Longton, priced there menu against the fat bull menu needless to say Fat Bull was alot cheaper when paying for four people to dine on similar products ie fillet steak with a sauce chips and vegetables.. Place was busy service was Ok, will be going back often only downer was we ordered Pancetta with smoked cheese as a accompaniment to one of the main courses, once main courses served it did not arrive,we asked for it 3 times still not brought to the table, low and behold it was on the bill, when we questioned why we were told because we ordered it, told it did not arrive was informed sorry we are busy if you had reminded a member of staff it would have been forth coming (bang head on wall moment). Still bloody good grub though place is not posh or pretentious like some restaurants around the North West
Red Cat – ChorleyWe booked in for a meal early on New Years Eve. I ordered Minestrone Soup as a starter but was disappointed that the waitress didn't come with parmesan cheese to sprinkle on the top. I have never known this before! When the pizzas came the waiter was in so much of a rush that he just plonked the pizzas down on the table without bothering to find out who was having what. The pizzas were large and well cooked but lacked flavour. The place itself was nice and comfortable and we were served fairly quickly.
Tiggis on the A59 – BlackburnI thank you for our late booking on new years eve, everything 100.Thanks Jill
Beijing Restaurant – BurnleyDrinking mojitos, eating jerk chicken and curried goat, best Sunday ever.
Turtle Bay – PrestonGreat Home cooked food and good value for money staff pleasant and polite.
The Park Inn – AccringtonA really pleasant experience every time. I have been visiting the Borough for a number of years and not once have I walked away feeling disgruntled! Great service, delicious food and a perfect ambience for any social occasion.
The Borough – LancasterA superior Indian restaurant in terms of food quality, presentation and their take on famous Indian dishes. Service was good. The food took a while to arrive which I saw as a positive. In many Indian venues the food appears in seconds, reheated. Here it would appear they cook to order. The Chapati bread was the best I have had as it was fresh and tender. Why do other lesser Indian restaurants serve old breads and popodoms? It's insulting that such basic foods are not fresh. The place looks a bit naff. Perhaps they think it cool and contemporary. We felt it looked dated, which is a problem with restaurants who go for trendy styling. Anyway, I went for a good curry and I got one. Would recommend.
