Astoria – BurnleyHad a great meal on Friday all 4 meals were excellent and the service/staff very welcoming and pleasant both chefs also came and asked if everything was OK which we thought was very good. Finally the views from the balcony are superb so thanks very much for a wonderful afternoon
The Dog Inn – BlackburnAte here Friday (14/08/20) and was extremely delighted with the experience. This was the first time my wife and I had dined out since the ending of lockdown and thought the social distancing procedures in place were excelent. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The food was faultless and the atmosphere very relaxed. Will be back again soon. Thankyou.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyWe had an excellent relaxing meal and the staff were pleasant and the service very good.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeWent on Wednesday night with wifecand Son. Very busy. Excellent tapas and pizza. Service excellent. Will definitely be back.
Astoria – BurnleyArrived at 7pm for our table for 40. We were seated with the most amazing view of the countryside and Darwen Tower. We ordered our food pretty quickly and the children's starters came not long after. However, from arrival, we waited apx 1hr 40 for our main meals. Was a shame as we waited so long that we lost the excitement of eating out. I know it's only two of them in the kitchen and it probably was busy than usual due to the eat out scheme, but it just took the shine of the experience for us. We ended up gobbling it down as we were so hungry and ready for home. Food was nice and as a veggie, was great to see a few different options that weren't the standard veggie burger. The set menu was a great value and ideal for our growing teenagers. Would definitely recommend and try again when it quietens down.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnWe went for our lunch on hour break we pre-booked for 1 pm, arrived on time. We waited at the door and no one come to us to set us finally someone standing at the bar who I'm not sure if he worked there or knew someone who did look at the reservations and gave us a table. Our table wasn't ready and we were given the wrong menu to look at. So after moving tables and waiting 15 mins for our order to be taken, told we had the wrong menu. A further 10 mins later he came back to take our order again, and we had to inform him that we had to leave due to only having an hour for lunch and it has taken over 25 mins to take our order. They said it was busy but having worked in restaurants in the past 10 tables is not busy with 6 members of staff on. He got quite rude by then end when we decided to leave and go someone else for a quick bite.
Astoria – BurnleyWow first time at astoria will definitely be going back food was amazing staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend
Astoria – BurnleyUnfortunately I am unable to comment on the quality of the food as we didn't get to the point of eating any. We had booked a table for 6pm, shown to our table, where we sat and waited and then waited some more and at no point did anybody ask if we wanted to order a drink or even to give us menus to look at, whilst people that had arrived after us were seen to straight away Eventually we decided to leave and took our business elsewhere, overall a very disappointing but brief visit
Astoria – BurnleyFirst time eating at The Dog and would definitely recommend. Friendly welcome from the staff, fantastic food and great service.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnWent here Tuesday and the food was amazing had 3 courses and everyone one of them was fantastic aswell as the service lovely place and will definitely be back soon
The Dog Inn – BlackburnGood was amazing couldn’t fault it at all. Atmosphere great but the service was shocking. The restaurant was busy but since we was sat at the table we was basically forgotten about. We had to keep getting up to ask someone to take our order. We sat there for 20mins after finishing our drink and meal and not one person asked if we wanted another drink or desert so we then asked for the bill.
Astoria – BurnleyFood excellent and service fabulous as always. My favourite place.
