The Wheatsheaf – LeylandThe food is lovely here especially the king prawn dishes! I'm a big fan and the atmosphere is fantastic! The only problem is the fat so called jolly one, I really dont like him!!
Mitali Tandoori – AccringtonOur latest visit was Valentines Day if a restuaurant can get right on such a special occassion then other nights are a doddle, we were not disappointed. Excellent service and very attentive staff, not overpowering but there when you need them. The food was of the highest quality and the atmoshere just perfect already looking forward to our next visit.
Mezzo Restaurant & Bar – PrestonWell, we went to Thyme after hearing good things -never again I'm sorry to say. Don't get me wrong, the service was reasonably good but the portions were miniscule for the prices and my venison was totally coated on the underside by the white sinew/skin all along which made it impossible to cut through with even a steak knife, 2 fork sized bites was all I was able to retrieve by scraping at the other surface with a fork to get shreds of meat off!!!. By the end of the evening, the staff were more interested in clearing up and getting home than the 3 remaining clients and it took 25 minutes to even get a dessert menu when there was only 3 tables in -sorry, thanks, but no thanks
The Sirloin Inn – PrestonYour indian food is amazing but your chicken nuggets and chips truely horrid. To make it family orientated small portions and better quality nuggets. really horrid nuggets.
Shapla Restaurant – BurnleyRegular visitor, food wonderful very reasonably priced. Staff and service excellent lovely friendly and cosy atmosphere.
The Black Horse – ChorleyDull surroundings and even duller food. I can not believe telegraph awarded 9/10. Wine was a cheap super market plonk could be a lovely restaurant.
Hyndburn Bridge Hotel – AccringtonAbsolutly fantastic food, great service and very friendly people.... Would highly recommend :-) xx
We went for a late lunch today-fabulous! A warm welcome, friendly attentive service, superb food. We had scallops gratin/crevettes with lemon mayo, followed by fish pie/lemon sole, accompanied by Wainwrights ale/house Cardonnay. Wood burning fires keeping us cosy looking out at snow capped Pendle Hill, what a treat, definitely recommended.
Assheton Arms – ClitheroeWe have been to La Casa de Salsa about four times since it opened and have always enjoyed the food and the experience. On our most recent visit however, the food was very disappointing, so sadly we will not be returning.
La Casa de Salsa – ChorleyGood food
Beer great, staff lovely, food gone down hill drastically. Shame used to be great prior to the extension.
Grey Mare Inn – BlackburnLovely night but I was really ill!! Mussels? My friends ate here a month after, really ill. Not one but two! What's going on???? Seriously.
Tiggis on the A59 – BlackburnI proposed to my fiancée in Tino's in early December 2012. As I was nervous about the night going well, I had spoken with the manageress in advance and she certainly ensured a perfect night. The staff are possibly the nicest I have experienced in any restaurant and the food was delicious. Next time we are in Preston, we will certainly be paying a visit back to Tino's
Tinos – PrestonVery good food , service , polite staff and clean ... often lunch there.
The Fernhurst – BlackburnWent here with the boyfriend on a Saturday night, arrived at 8pm without a booking but was seated with our first course by 8.45pm. We ordered the set meal menu 2. IT WAS HUGE! Lovely cold platter of meats, cheese, garlic bread (yum), olives accompanied by chilli potatoes. Then the tapas - four dishes AND paella of the day (which was chicken when we went). We arrived really hungry and left in pain we had eaten so much. The food was delicious and we didn't want to leave any. Highly recommended! Friendly staff, big portions, good quality and good value!
