The Ginger Bistro – PrestonLast night was our first meal at The Ginger Tree and we were impressed. The front of house staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient, the food arrive swiftly and was tasty with good ingredients. We enjoyed our meal and will be back.
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonFamily meal earlier this week for my daughters birthday. She loves Carbonara, and having been here a few times previous, this was her place to go. Not long after being seated in the quiet restaurant, we then had a very noisy group of adults sat behind us, we could barely hear our own conversation. I ordered a couple side dishes to come out with my main, yet they came out as starters. My daughters carbonara was bland and had a very greasy aftertaste. Not even a hint of garlic. My other daughter barely touched her pizza, plain cheese and tomato, saying it didn’t taste nice. My wife’s veg that accompanied her main looked boiled for far too long, with her roasties very hard, almost like they had been kept warm under heat lamps. My cannelloni was ok, but lacked seasoning. Massively disappointed by our meal, we opted not to stay for dessert. Traditional Italian this place is not. Unfortunately we will look to find a new go to restaurant.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyAnother very enjoyable meal here. My gammon was a very good traditional gammon steak well cooked. My wife's goujons were also very good but the portion was a bit small. Puddings were of a high quality and a little out of the ordinary. Unfortunately they had an electrical problem which put a time constraint on the meal
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeLove papa Luigis fab food great service and a good selection.Good value for money.
Papa Luigis – ChorleySecond time visiting this restaurant. First time the ribs weren't great but absolutely everything else both times were stellar. Lovely service, very good food.
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonLovely Sunday lunch with family. Everything cooked to perfection from the tasty beef, homemade Yorkshire puddings, and the tasty veg and cauliflower cheese.. gravy was perfect too. Very helpful, friendly staff who worked hard. Surprised it wasn’t busier for Sunday lunch to be honest. Will definitely return and recommend
Tiger Lounge – RawtenstallOnce again, excellent food the staff and service were also excellent. We have stayed and eaten at the 3 Millstones several times over the years and the standard as never dropped. Looking forward to our next visit.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeWe’ve been to the Hinds Head many times and have always had really good food and service, Saturday evening was no exception. A comment on the fillet steak from one of our party was that it was the best he'd had in a long time, I had the Spanisf style hake which was excellent too. Add to that very pleasant staff and a lively but not too loud atmosphere, a good time was had by all.
The Hinds Head at Charnock Richard – ChorleyExcellent food and good service - recommended
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonWe arrived early for our booking and the staff were very accommodating. Sunday lunch was 10/10. The young waitresses were all very professional - shame it is not our local....... We are an hour away.
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeSuperb new Italian tapas in town, experienced friendly staff, great food and wine, good prices. We had a table of 14 age 10-75 and all enjoyed it.
Astoria – BurnleyWent for meeting up with friends, not eaten in hear since its been Tiger Lounge. Food was very good no complaints, just could not get to sample all of it, so will be back again.
Tiger Lounge – RawtenstallWe went for a birthday and ordered one of the cocktail tree which was lovely and really good value! All the staff were lovely. We ordered way too much food (our own greedy fault) which was all lovely and really good value. The only downside was our table that had a view in to the men’s toilets, not the nicest. I wouldn’t mind some much if we were being fitted in on a busy night, but I’d booked weeks in advance. Really quite off putting!
Tiger Lounge – RawtenstallWent last night booked on line got there no record of booking this has happened twice now. Food was ok has been better, got 2 people’s dessert wrong took them 3 times to get it right and it was freezing.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyWe had a lovely meal with good friendly service. Would highly recommend and it was good to support this community enterprise!
The Dog Inn – BlackburnWe had the early bird menu, the food was great and great value for the price, would recommend papa luigis.
