always excellent food and service. The decor is a bit dated and wouldn't go here for a romantic meal for 2 but for a curry on the way home after a few beers this is definitely the best curry house in Preston city centre

Spice Of Bengal – PrestonI visited this place on a Sunday evening, - Wasn't sure what to expect. When we got inside I was so impressed! The rural location, the design of the building the restaurant was situated, the architecture inside and out was beautiful! Staff were friendly, polite and attentive. Food was out of this world!!! Really competes with the big rollers situated in the city centre, very impressed! I live 40 mins away from this restaurant, but WILL be making a journey back ! Recommend to anyone wanting a quality dining experience that is child friendly too! It must be even better in the peak of summer with the glass extension at the front of the restaurant! Keep up the good work xx
Italian Orchard – PrestonFirst visit - on entering the bar/restaurant we were slightly put off by "the best man's speech" being piped through the speakers quite loudly - very nice if you are guests at the wedding but slightly uncomfortable if you aren't.. anyway after asking the manager to switch it off (5 mins later he did so) - we were shown to our table it seemed everyone dining that evening was placed albeit squeezed into one area of the restaurant - menu pretty mixed if slightly confusing for a country pub/bar restaurant - Chinese, Indian, french, British dishes which were ok definite room for improvement but we did go expecting traditional British food.. nice place and surroundings but we wont be rushing back - Aug 07
Shireburn Arms Hotel – ClitheroeWe had a truly outstanding meal, it arrived very quickly and was piping hot and so tasty. Vegetables fresh and delicious. Service excellent and very polite. Restaurant cosy and comfortable & everybody so welcoming.
Original Farmers Arms – ChorleyA nice coffee shop, very good food for healthy eaters, excellent range of coffee, order you food at the counter and it is brought to your table. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Must be tried. The outside catering services are excellent.
Studio – Rawtenstallthe staff are fantastic and the food was amazing cant wait to go back
Yarrow Bridge Inn – ChorleyIts amazing how the top 10 most searched for restaurants on sugarvine are either not advertising with them, (so I assume this list is a hook to get them to spend their pennies), or this list has websites designed by sugarvine. I have visited a number of the restaurants listed on this 'top 10'. If these are the most searched for places i will eat my hat. Absolutely awful, and this one is the worst - food tastes like its from the frozen section in Asda, and the front of house would be more at home at Chorley Circus. Can we have a new list with better restaurants please.
The Halfway House – ChorleyOne of my favourite restaurants. Food always excellent, especially the garlic mushrooms and the lasagna. Great restaurant, gets busy Friday & Saturday so book for these nights! Would recommend to anyone.
Papa Luigis – Chorleyhad the giants Plate did not realise what G.P meant till i got the plate i had surf and turf, I counted how many pieces of scampi i had there was 26 on my plate including a big piece of steak chips mushrooms onion rings, peas and carrots i could not eat it all!!Great value for money and good food really extensive menu as well, would definitely go again..
Windmill Hotel – BlackburnMine and my wifes favourite restaurant. You are made to feel very welcome from entering the restaurant to leaving. The food and service is first class. We have tried the whole range of curries and have never been let down. The bangladesh specials are very good. Also a good range of indian beers and even a indian malt whisky. Do not miss out on this great restaurant.
Sylhet – Blackburnwe went on sunday evening in a party of 6, it was very bright no candles very quite music, our waitress was young and inexperienced (kept removing dishes before finished with) we was given three dishes wrong, but staff didn't bother and was still charged for them, only one was offered to be replaced! we had four baskets of bread which came to £7.25, which we thought was pricey, considering most tapas we visit you pay for first two baskets, after reading other reviews maybe just went on wrong night? should we try again ???????????
Casa Tapas – RawtenstallAgain problem with staffing, we were a large party but the service was unco-ordinated and we were overcharged. I think once staff training is complete and they concentrate on customer service things should hopefully improve. Stroganoff was great once it eventually arrived.
The Halfway House – ChorleyVisited here last Sunday in a party of 30, the service was excellent as always, ordered from the Sunday menu which was very good value for money. Once again top marks for the Fresco Fresco staff.
Fresco Fresco – LeylandI've eaten here a few times and have always been impressed. The service & food are both very good.
Avanti Restaurant – Kirkby LonsdaleThe place looks great as it's recently been modernised and a conservatory area added to the front aspect. It's very bright, open and airy. The service however was very slow and it wasn't that busy as it was well after the lunch time rush when we decided to sit down to eat. We had to stand in a queue at the till to order and what a wait we had!!!We were served our drinks....bottled water and took our seats. Then we waited 15 mins. for two sandwiches and a plate of chips. The food was well cooked but average, chips, pies, sandwiches, toasties etc. The prices were too high, in our opinion.
Old Stables The – BurnleyUntil recently we have been visiting Verdes for many years for a lot of reasons...consistent quality of food, consistent quality of service, reasonably priced and we only live 10-15mins drive away. Regulars will be familiar with the fact that late last year they extended the building to increase the indoor capacity (and they needed it) and to be honest this was a mistake. Since then they don't seem to be able to cope with the pressure of more tables because the food quality has gone down and because the place is really busy we are usually in and out within an hour or so. We haven't been for a few months since because we feel that the place has gone downhill in terms of food quality (last time we went the steak was really bad and the veg was cold) and service. It's a shame because a few years ago it was our favourite Italian restaurant in the area, and now it isn't our first choice for an Italian meal any more because the basics have gone out of the window. Because of this we won't be rushing back.
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyDelicious food, great service, professional outfit.
Cinnamon – BlackburnWe have enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere of Etna for nearly 30 years. We now live in Canada but we always find time to visit when we go back to the UK. Dominic greets us like long lost friends & we always have stuffed mushrooms & lasagne & it's still the best we've tasted anywhere, especially washed down with the house red.
