This is by far the best take-away in Blackburn. The quality and taste of the food is excellent. Free coffee on arrival, and you can watch your food being cooked. Tandori dishes, and shashlick take some beating.

Roe Lee Indian Takeaway – BlackburnThis was my second visit to the Red Pump Inn, last year we stumbled across it on a drive out for my dad's birthday and came away very happy customers. What a rare treat in the world of microwaves and instant meals to find a place so committed to real home made food and local produce. This time we visited for my mums birthday and once again we were overwhelmed by the lovely atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff and excellent choice of food on offer. We'd had family members who had not been before and they left feeling as we had the first time we visited. Jon and Martina could not make people feel more at home and local even though we aren't (we drove up from Liverpool) and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. thank you Red Pump Inn for making every visit special.
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeI eat out at many places but this was one of the best. The food was outstanding, i even managed two portions of sticky toffee pudding it was that good. The service was great, very polite. It was a good atmosphere all the staff were very friendly. I recommend it to anybody who is passing over pendle, you will have a great meal and at a reasonable price. X
Wellsprings Inn Pendle Hill – ClitheroeTravelled for 3/4 hour to get here. Packed to the rafters. Like a posh "brewers fayre". Not for my age group really I don't think. Very good reviews and general "foody" books do place this restaurant on a very high pedestal but I don't really think it is a genuinely outstanding place at all. Other very good "inns" around the area much more worthy of a visit although it is great to have such a tourist attraction in the valley like the fishes so I can't mark it too low. Being a lecturer.... it could do better and coasts a bit on its reputation
The Three Fishes – ClitheroeVery good supper indeed. Nice to see jugged hare on a menu....absolutely delicious. Home made breads an absolute treat. Lots of very good choice and the owners (two lovely people with a real and genuine love for what they do) were attentive. The young chef came out to have a chat with some "regulars" seated close by....we eavesdropped into their conversation and he was just interested to know what they thought of a new dish on the vast specials board..... how delightfully and reassuringly old fashioned in a culinary world of "poshnosh". We will go back very soon.
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeIt is now the third occasion in the past three months that my wife and I have dined at the Greyhound. Consistency in the pleasant efficiency of the service is surpassed only by the excellent quality of the food. For my part, I am one of the most difficult persons to please, particularly in respect of 'Fish Dishes' and I would suggest that it would be a difficult challenge to meet in finding better anywhere in the Lune Valley.
The Greyhound – LancasterEaten here a few times, great pub atmosphere with excellent food and friendly service 10/10.
The Borough – LancasterI can't recommend the Greyhound at Halton enough. It has a lovely welcoming atmosphere and the food is delicious. They use only the best local produce and you can really tell by the quality of their food. Try the fish and chips with the Greyhound's own beer batter and homemade chunky chips. Brilliant!
The Greyhound – LancasterThis is a gem of a place, found it by chance and have eaten there a few times. The food is excellent and very good value for money. Definitely one of my favourite places.
The Lodge – LancasterThe food here is great the ice cream is outstanding and if you have room left try some of the homemade chocolates on sale! Well worth a visit.
The Pudding House at Wallings Farm – LancasterExcellent atmosphere, great menu, good service. Highly recommendable.
Francos – AccringtonHow refreshing to stumble across such an inviting eatery, which manages to achieve an effortless balance of cool overtones, excellent fresh food, welcoming staff and a reassuring lack of pretension. I firmly recommend this to fellow discerning customers in search of the perfect cafe bar.
Artisan Cafe Bar – RawtenstallGood food, great service, although the music was a little loud.
Marcos – LancasterVery good, was offered cake by a young looking lad with ear fones in
The Emporium – ClitheroeI have just stayed here with my husband for his birthday. Food very good (breakfast menu fab....lunchtime reductions off main menu a nice surprise and specials boards at night very very good...in fact hard to choose what to have), rooms excellent, wine and beer not expensive but good choice. This is a hidden gem and the future plans for the place sound great. Definitely a place to watch out for when you go to the Ribble Valley.
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeThe left bank is my favourite restaurant. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is relaxed and romantic and the food is brilliant.
Left Bank Brasserie – OrmskirkI'm a vegan who has been to Jim's many times and never found it a problem to be served a good meal there... the regular menu is quite limited & unimaginative but the weekly specials (of which one is always vegan or can be made vegan) tend to be very tasty... couldn't fault the price or the service & it has a cool little hippyish atmosphere with the piano and live music nights... I have taken all my visiting friends and family from all over the country threre & always enjoyed our evening.
Jim’s Vegetarian Restaurant – ColneThe salt and pepper squid is the best I have ever tried!
