What a welcoming homely pub/restaurant this is, you feel relaxed as soon as you walk through the door. The service is excellent and the food is of a very high standard the menu is extensive with quite a lot of flair but you have to have a good appetite the portions are large all the meals use fresh ingredients and are freshly cooked

I don? think I could add anything useful to the excellence and culinary joy that this restaurant gives. Thank you for a wonderful eating experience

We recently visited The Yew Tree and felt it deserves a comment on how the excellent standard of service and delicious food (especially the deserts!) were enjoyed in comfortable friendly surroundings. The presentation of all the meals was of an exceptional standard (especially the deserts!!) and all at a reasonable price. Well worth a visit (for those with a sweet tooth!!!)

A recent visit to The Yew Tree Inn proved to be most enjoyable. The location and charm of the building together with the warm & friendly staff put us at ease. The food was superb especially the chicken & fish dishes. Confidently recommended!!

The Yew Tree is now back to it's best, i've been visiting it for 20 years or so and i cannot remember it being so good. The steaks and fish dishes are excellent with superb table service. The current owners are extremely friendly and give everyone a very warm welcome. Trust me the Yew Tree is back!!

Good quality basic English cooking at its best. The duckling is very good. Excellent service, friendly and welcoming. Good for bar food or the restaurant, (slightly more expensive but good value). Can highly recommend. Fantastic views from the restaurant of the Ribble Valley.

The food is Ok, but I prefer the Italian drinks, Vedezuno involves honey and peach which is really good.

I recently enjoyed a wonderful meal at Northcote. Living in Lytham I find there is nowhere truly outstanding nearby and always travel for that really special occasion. The food was exceptional as we went for the 5-course gourmet menu. I followed the restaurants half-bottle recommendations with each course, which matched perfectly. Beware though as this can be expensive. The service was excellent on the whole but was slightly let down by some younger staff not knowing what the food was they were serving. One of my favourite things about the Manor is sitting by the fire after dinner in the lounge quaffing large glasses of port! I'd also recommend staying the night in one of their 4 poster bedrooms.

Brilliant!!! Me n my fella go there for special occasions or just a night out. It's fab!! Really worth it. The Calzone Pizza is my fav...yum!! Really worth it. gorgeous place aswell. Defo try it!!

had an wonderful meal at Mamma Mia's, 8 of us ate, and everyone said it was excellent, I had scampi to start which was in a lovely light batter, followed by fillet Rossini (cooked to perfection) and for sweet i had the sticky toffee cheesecake, service was very good, and the staff were lovely, and very helpful. we will definitely be going back!

The building is stunning, a lovely long driveway. The house is set in beautiful grounds, which are well maintained. (The rubble mentioned by the previous reviewer is now a tasteful extension for functions!). Inside the decor is traditional but tasteful. It's been recently renovated and the bar area is very cosy. The menu was extensive and all of our party were very pleased with their food. My lamb loin was perfectly cooked. The bread and butter pudding made with panetone was heavenly! The wine list is also excellent and the staff were happy to recommend a good wine to go with our meal. This restaurant is ideal for a special occasion and I'd highly recommend a visit!

Excellent Starter of Japanese Prawns with Spicy Dip. Others had Mushroom Tart( Yummy), and Melon with Prawns( very generous). Main Courses include- Worston Whale ( excellent !), Lamb Henry, ( gorgeous & generous serving), Hot Steak Sandwich( overflowing with Steak, Mushrooms, Melted Cheese, Onions etc.) Bar & Restaurant Staff are very friendly & efficient. We travelled from Rossendale, and saw lots of folk we knew-- well worth the journey!!

The food and service here is excellent. The staff are very on the ball whilst being down to earth and friendly. They have a good menu and the steaks are cooked to perfection. I took my Dad here for his 50th Birthday and he declared it was the best steak he'd ever had. I would definitely recommend eating here! They take the Hi Life card too which makes it very affordable for a meal of this standard.

This place is a little gem. Very quaint building over two floors, can be quite intimate on a Fri/Sat night, or can cater for larger parties. The owner/waiter is Turkish with a great sense of humour and service is good. On to the food.... it is Turkish/Mediterranean, which is quite uncommon. The special Meze menu is fab- approx £15 per person but this includes many different hot/ cold starters and then ends with a selection of grilled meats. There are many Turkish specialities (the cuisine is very similar to Greek, so imagine your Greek holidays and the food will be like that), also are the more common pasta and pizza options (currently £3.95 on the early bird menu) Just Go and try this Turkish food for yourselves.

Good food, relaxed environment and reasonably priced, especially the set dinners. Great for parties or a night out, not so suitable for a night of romance.

I didn? go there before but when I found out it changed hands and people recommended it to me so I went and gave it a try .The whole place has changed beautifully refurbished, very clean, friendly staff, so helpful, menu spoils you for choice. Placed my order with Hussain a great person. The food was so delicious. Never tasted before. Best in town. Great work keep it up I will recommend Balti House to all who live to eat. Ps

Would go again, servings very big, not expensive and if you go mon-wed they do special offers for 2 eating together
