Excellent little find in Ilkley, the food and service was outstanding. You were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. If you haven't visited Brooks you are missing a treat. Thank you.

Great service and food was epic definitely recommend

Went for a meal on Friday evening with colleagues from work. Our table was ready for us upon arrival in the conservatory are which was very pretty. The staff promptly offered to take our drinks orders and update these as each of our guests arrived. The food was absolutely delicious, I personally had the large fish (which was huge) followed by sticky toffee pudding with custard. It was absolutely delicious! The staff were friendly and helpful as always, we are all looking forward to going back.

The food was absolutely out of this world it was amazing and even though it was busy really enjoyed it with friends however the service off the female waiters was horrifying they came over multiple times and removed our empty’s didn’t offer to get us a new one and just walked away from the table before we could even ask for them. There was 3 female waiters on shift and all of them were poor at customer service, the male staff however have been there for some time and was on top form for customer service I felt bad for them as they were picking up the slack of the female waiters. Actually questioning coming back the bill came up to £107 and was horrified with the customer service and a few poor experiences

A fantastic meal in a very cosy and inviting pub. The staff were friendly and attentive, really helped make our time in Askrigg something special. Highly recommend.

We tried several times to book a table here before being successful. Always a good sign! The food was well made, tasty, home cooked food. The service was friendly and efficient. Only snag was that we had booked online and had a confirmation email but the staff didn’t seem to know anything about us. They did squeeze us in to a table in the back bar. Tbh the location wasn’t great and I had to keep my coat on as it was very cold. The prices were compatible with other eateries in the area.

We had a very nice evening meal and the pub was warm and cosy. I was delighted to find vegan options and the chickpea balti was lovely. My husband very enjoyed the Cumberland sausage.

Excellent meals all 9 of us were delighted ! Not our first visit but usual high standard. One fussy guest had his meal adapted not a problem!

Amazing food, lovely atmosphere and great service. Can highly recommend the Sweet Potato Wedges, Goats Cheese & Chilli Honey. Wednesday & Thursday nights also are great value with a 5 dish offer which is plenty enough for 2 people

What a fantastic restaurant , amazing choice of food and top quality . Very friendly and would certainly recommend it for a family or group occasion. Extremely reasonably priced always plenty of staff on hand to assist with any of your needs.

The food is amazing, great atmosphere and lovely staff. It’s fantastic we’ve been back twice within a few weeks. A great place for families and celebrations! Couldn’t recommend this place enough :)

Lovely evening with great food

This unpretentious restaurant in adapted old buildings actually looked and felt quite French. However the menu was at most only half way there and no-one seemed to speak the language! Fresh dressed crab ‘from Filey’ fully lived up to expectations and the Crapeau was better than it sounds, though the ‘hole’ for the toad was very soggy and a bit rubbery. Friendly and professional young staff, the atmosphere was good, full on a mediocre July Wednesday evening, and overall a pleasant experience and good value.

Fabulous meal and service. Went with a group of friends and family from America who thought it was just fantastic. Thank you for making us all so welcome and making it a special night.
