The hosts of the Fat Loaf are always friendly and welcoming. They remember our names which is lovely and stop for a chat. The food is consistently delicious and perfectly cooked. We always enjoy going there and never disappointed.

A dissapointing 1st visit to this venue under its current ownership. Ordered a mixture of Indian and pub classic meals (4 in total) and to be fair the starters poppadoms and chutneys together with the 2 different curry meals were okay and acceptable. Regarding the other 2 meals one was brought wrong as ordered a chicken burger from pub classics and a normal burger was supplied, this was questioned with the waitress which she disputed,and she proceeded to go away for the 2 curries we had ordered and on returning with them asked "well what have you decided about the burger" I responded with there is nothing to decide as you have brought the wrong meal and I know what I ordered, she then took the burger away with no comment.the other meal was fish and chips again from the pub classics and the fish looked like a "burnt offering" with the batter being black and obviously overdone, my wife did attempt to eat this but gave up as not enjoyable. Quite some time later when our other 3 meals were finished another lady brought the chicken burger and apologised for the error and asked if everything else was okay and I said well as you have asked the fish and chips was not very good and looked like a burnt offering to which to my shock responded well the Indian food is our speciality the the other food us " what it is" to which I was gob smacked. There was no offer of any sort of refund and at a total cost of £80 spent I can without doubt say yes this was a very dissapointing experience but based on other favourable reviews I have read maybe we were just a bit unlucky on our visit

Had a fab birthday meal with my family. Food was amazing, great service and good value for money. We’ll definitely go back!

I have visited crowded house numerous times and always recommend their food and service. I have not attended for over 12 months but came on Friday with a few girlfriends. The overall visit was lovely as usual but wasn’t very happy with the new menu and wasn’t value for money I really like coming to crowded house the hospitality is tremendous but prefer old menu

Visited for our sons birthday, first time visit and we were absolutely delighted with every aspect of the experience from booking onwards. Great food fabulous service attentive friendly informed and very welcoming staff. The location is perfect the decor is amazing very warm authentic and inviting. The pricing is great the quality of food exceptional, cocktails were wonderful and our other son who is actually a mixologist himself was really really happy with them. Well done to all the team there and thank you, we can’t wait to return
