Excellent service, lovely atmosphere, beautiful food (extremely large portions that they offer you to take the rest home) and generous cocktail measures!

We came for christmas dinner. My dad had recently come out of hospital and had to be home for 2pm for the district nurse. The waiter went out of his way to ensure we were served first so he could enjoy the meal without rushing and had the dessert packaged and sent home for later. The food was hot and excellent. Wonderful service and we had a fab meal. Thanks xx

Family meal on Boxing Day. Food was gorgeous, food service excellent. Drinks service slow had to ask twice for drinks we had ordered. Lovely decor. Would highly recommend and will return.

The food was lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere really nice!

We had a table Christmas Day. The staff were non stop and friendly. However the food service was slow. Took 3 hours for the meal and we had to ask for the food. The food that came was sparse - we had to ask for trimmings has lots of plates were missing items. Very dear for the food quality and quantity served.

We went at lunchtime on Boxing Day for the normal menu- 3 adults and 2 children. We all had different meals and thoroughly enjoyed them. I would definitely recommend the sea bass- delicious and not a bone to be seen. We weren’t rushed, nor did we have to wait long for our food. I love it at ‘The Moon’ as we’ve always called it- we’ve been going for 50 years now!

We ate here on Christmas Day. There were 5 young children and 5 adults. Everything was excellent- the food, service and staff were all superb. Nothing was too much trouble for them from making the booking to the actual day. They didn’t rush us which was great as there’s nothing worse than the next course coming as you finish the previous one. We ate at the 3.30pm sitting. Thank you Adele and the Team for making it such a relaxing Christmas Day.

Superb restaurant. Visited a few times and never disappointed. Excellent food and service. Very attentive staff who do anything help. Love it here it’s my wife and I’s favourite restaurant.

Had another Christmas Eve visit with family and as always, had a lovely evening as Sean and his team did not disappoint. We have tried quite a few dishes on the menu and it's always been very tasty, fajitas are a favourite but lots of other gorgeous dishes. Atmosphere and service are always brilliant and we have never experienced anything less. Would always recommend.

We had a booking of 9 Christmas Day, food was good but not outstanding. We felt extremely rushed and the amount it cost we felt this was quite disappointing. there wasn’t much atmosphere, no music etc. Usually it’s 5* but felt Christmas Day wasn’t the same.

Been to the Rising Moon a few times and always enjoyed it. Decided to go for Christmas dinner, the food was good as usual but the service was terrible - Staff stood doing nothing apart from wondering around trying to sell you more drinks when tables needed clearing……… Overall 6/10
