Rams Head Inn – Saddleworthhi i dined in akbars three weeks ago as i am regular visitor there an have been 4 ages even before Manchester opened an have been to most of their branches but was disgraced when i went to what i saw. As i am a muslim i pride on going to a halal establishment. an i was totally shocked to what i saw in there i saw pork steak being served on the table behind me. which is pink meat an can't be halal in any way in our religion so i will definitely not be dining in any akbars now cause i could not eat in a place that has meat cooked there so all you muslim people i urge you to go places that serve halal meat not akbars it is a disgrace to them to let that happen
Akbars – Manchester City CentreThe R&C has a varied menu and caters for all tastes. We are regulars and have been for two years. Very friendly owners involved on a day to day basis with friendly staff. Last night's hotpot and beef lasagna were wonderfully tasty but if you are into steaks or Turkish specialities the standard is excellent.
The Rose and Crown – BoltonExcellent, no fault found, highly recommended, and I been to them all in Manchester, well done Zouk.Very pleasing in the pocket too,i should know it was my turn and under 100 notes for 8 of us.
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City CentreI fully recommend this restaurant. We were there last Saturday evening for the first time, it will certainly not be our last time. We are returning there again this Saturday as the food was excellent, service was brilliant, the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, even the owner took time to go around and speak to every customer checking if all was ok and were they enjoying themselves. I think this shows that he cares and wants everyone to enjoy their food. Forget the curry mile Desi Lounge will make you smile (how is that for a rhyme).
Desi Lounge – FailsworthWent with a b'day party and were made to feel very welcome. Food was lovely and atmosphere good. Quite an intimate restaurant and the booking of your table in the evening is highly recommended as it fills up quickly.
The Orange Tree Tapas – AudenshawA lovely atmosphere, great food and right on the door step! It is something different to all the other food establishments in the local area - well worth a visit!
The White Room – WhitefieldI visited Zaika a few weeks back but am writing this review belated. The environment, staff, setting, food were exceptional. Was greeted honourably and accommodated efficiently. Food and beverages were second to none and staff seem to be aware of brand values. Zaika 's really taken a turn for the better. It seem Nisar Khan, the ex manager from the closed Shimla pinks has brought flair and style to Zaika. I for one, am and will remain a regular. Well done!
Zaika – Manchester City CentreDalat is the best of the best restaurants in the UK. You can't find another place like this. Great services, friendly staff, very delicious foods AND absolutely good prices. We almost swallowed our own tongues while eating here. Great restaurant. Small but extremely quality.
Dalat – NorthendenWe keep coming back to this restaurant...the food is always delicious. The thing is - the food quality and taste is totally consistent, something which I've never come across in other Indian restaurants. The staff are brilliant - friendly and polite, and the boss, Mr Khan, has a very welcoming style about him. Our favorite dishes are Chicken Tikka Balti Madras, Machli Bhuna (fish), and Macfli Roshuna ( fish). But don't take my word for it - give it a try!
Cinnamon Indian Cuisine – WiganJust outside the city centre in the Northern Quarter, this venue ticks all the boxes. Relaxed chilled out atmosphere, homemade delicious Vegan food, great range of drinks & smoothies, very reasonably priced. Just make sure you leave some room for the desserts!
Earth Cafe – Northern QuarterThis restaurant has been recommended to me several times but I only visited it for the first time two weeks ago. I have just had my third visit and it is highly recommended. It is spotless clean, classy with good old fashioned service. The various meal offers are fantastic value and yet you feel that you have dined out. I have sampled the £6.50 lunch menu twice; melon, thick, succulent chicken breast with all the trimmings and for an extra £2 a choice of sweets; I have sampled the Lemon Meringue Pie and the Blackcurrant Cheesecake. The Sunday evening menu was great value too.I would have no hesitation recommending this venue and I would bring friends with confidence. In fact, I did bring a friend who dines out a lot for lunch and she thought it was superb. My mum is extremely hard to suit and she would give this venue ten out of ten. It's our new favourite place to eat but don't tell everyone!!!!
The Owls At Standish – WiganWith all the curry houses in Rusholme, it can be a bit of hit or miss situation trying to choose one. Take my advice and try Spicy Hut. Nowhere else comes close, not in Rusholme, in fact, I’ve not eaten a better curry in Rusholme. But then, I’ve been spoilt, you may get "surprise ch**en" on you first visit !.
Spicy Hut – RusholmeI visited the restaurant with 3 relations last Friday. The food was excellent and the service first class. We were made to feel at home and we look forward to another visit in the future.
Shahenshah Restaurant – RusholmeI went here on Saturday for lunch, was told by a friend to try it and that I would be pleasantly surprised. she was correct what a lovely place. I had the duck salad for my main, the meat was very tender and the salad really really fresh. for dessert I had the chocolate brownie & Toblerone Fondant Sundae, Very sickly but soo good, all accompanied by a nice bottle of wine. Perfect if your in manchester its definitely worth a visit, you wont be disappointed. Thanks
Mud Crab at Grinch – Manchester City CentreI went to Orange Tree Tapas for lunch on Saturday, I booked for 10 of us and we were made very welcome. The food was all freshly cooked and very tasty. The service from Claire was great. Lots of dishes to choose from at a very reasonable price. The house wines were also good, They have a nice lunchtime menu and some tapas specials on Tuesday and Wednesday tea time. I will be going back very soon.
The Orange Tree Tapas – AudenshawDined once again at the Punjab Saturday night and once this quaint little place provided us with fabulous fare, easily the best in Rusholme.
Punjab Tandoori – Rusholmedined @ zaika on Friday night with two friends, thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The tasting/banquet menu was flavoursome & plentiful. I had the fish tikka to start, followed by Bengali prawns... Service was relaxed but efficient unlike Akbars, toilets were spotless. Will defo return & will defo recommend
