It is a nice place in a good setting, however, the food and the service was pretty bad, the chicken pie was slop in a bowl with a burnt top, you have to order at the front desk before you even get a table, worst dining experience i've ever had

The Owls At Standish – Wigan

went here for lunch with several work colleagues , chose the set menu @ £4.95 , poppadums and an array of chutneys etc to start, followed by onion bhaji , shish kebab , garlic naan [ freshly made] with salad, finally two different curries [ 1 veg ] with rice . the food was excellent and the staff were very good , definitely worth a visit , good value for money.

From the moment you walk through the door at Gusto you can tell this is something else! The restaurant is warm and cosy yet has the advantage of high ceilings which give it an airy feel. The choice on the menu was great and as a 'fussy' eater I found I was spoilt for choice and was delighted when the waiter informed me they are happy to mix and match ingredients. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, we couldn't resist staying for a drink in the bar afterwards to work our way through the cocktail list!

i would never ever go to the 3 crowns ever again. the food is the the worst my taste buds ,has ever met. this is now more than a posh mcdonalds.. the food was not fresh,a small plate of chips shared between 4 people. mr hicks himself, hovering over your shoulder tends to put you off your meal. any person who knows any thing about food would not venture here.

Three Crowns Inn and Restaurant – Oldham
Margaret Hughes

cracking little restaurant, food is lovely and they have always got special offers on, which indicates they are trying to keep customers unlike others in the area who make no effort whatsoever and are mostly devoid of customers. Nicely kitted out inside too.

Simla Inn Tandoori Restaurant – Royton

Having closed after Christmas , now re-opened as the Very Happy Seasons ! Very friendly service, traditional Chinese as before, great lunch for £4.85. Big portions too. New owners, good value. Yet to try in the evening but the signs are good if you like proper Chinese food.

My partner and I went to the Balti last week on a recommendation from a friend, and it was great. They served some of the best Indian food we have ever eaten, and prepared one of our special choices that wasn't even on the menu. The staff and management gave such good friendly service that we even returned 2 days later, to be greeted with a special welcome. All of this at such good value - we would definitely recommend to anyone who appreciates good Indian food in pleasant surroundings.

This has got to be the nicest Italian restaurant in the area located in the picturesque village of ringley overlooking the river Irwell it also has great car parking my wife and I sampled the spicy garlic bread and Fungi Trifolati and of course some Bruschetta followed by Pollo Sorpresa and Pollo Cacciatora with vegetables The sweets are homemade we chose Torta della Nonna which is “Grandmother’s cake” a traditional Tuscan dessert and homemade apple crumble washed down with the house red. The service food and wine was very good and we look forward to going again soon Chris

La Roma Restaurant – Bolton

This place really is the closest thing to eating Thai cuisine apart from actually being in Thailand! The pad Thai is spot on and there's a range of Vietnamese dishes too. Authentic food, affordable prices and friendly, warm service make Dalat my favourite Manchester restaurant. Definitely worth a visit if you like proper Thai food.

Great staff, delicious food. Very authentic with delicate flavours and a wide range of choices. Probably the best Thai restaurant in Manchester.

Went along for lunch today and it was a terrible experience. The service was poor which you can make allowances for if the food is good - however....... I had soup to start but couldn't tell what it should have been, it was just terribly salty. My main course of the chicken stuffed with tomatoes and goats cheese was disappointingly bland and the 'fondant' potato was a lump of a greasy, hard substance that I would struggle to call potato - it was certainly inedible. Having decided to skip coffee, we asked for the bill and after a 10 minute wait in which time the bill didn't appear, we had to approach the bar to pay. Needless to say we didn't leave a tip and we will not return. I would normally have said something to the staff but as I was in company, I bit my lip - actually that was tastier than the 'meal'!

The Lounge – Ramsbottom

We have recently moved to the area and because we had been decorating we decided to get a take away and because I had seen in a local paper that the Blue Raj had won an award recently we ordered a take away. The food was very oily and didn't seem freshly cooked (more warmed up) in fact my husband felt very ill a few hours after eating. It's off our list we won't be going back!

We went last month for our anniversary and we made an excellent choice. The food was lovely really fresh, good portions and the service was very attentive. There was a good variety of food on the menu and the specials even for a fussy eater like me we will be going back soon.

As the restaurant is named dough you would think that this is an area they would specialise in. A good pizza is very easy to make but even easier to get wrong. Unfortunately for dough they just haven't got it right. Whilst the pizza toppings are average the pizza bases resemble supermarket own brand. It's a shame because the location is good and the staff very pleasant. I can think of six or seven other places in Manchester city centre I would prefer to go for a pizza and most of these have a wide selection of meat and fish dishes as well.

Just got back from the Swan with Two Nicks where we had a shocking experience. We ordered our food, waited, waited, after 45 minutes enquired as to where our food was. We had young children with us, who were starving and bored by this time. We were told our order had been lost, not just forgotten but lost. They retook our order, and brought us some bread to keep the kids going. The bread was dotted with mould, so that went back. When the food finally arrived, the venison steak was dry and tough, the chips were undercooked and tasteless, the veggies over cooked... They knocked a kids meal off the bill, but we still paid over £30 for 2 poor main courses and a drink each. It used to be a great pub, we won't be going again.
