It was Saturday evening and the pub was full, so it was very noisy. We weren't given a wine list. The waitress was nice but seemed a bit overwhelmed. The food was lovely but the service was extremely slow.

The Windmill Parbold – WiganEverything great !
Sorella Restaurant – OldhamIt was our first visit and certainly won't be our last. The food and service was amazing. A really nice place to visit and the atmosphere was perfect. Also really good value for money.
Sorella Restaurant – OldhamMeal was excellent. Sadly poor choice of rose wine. Large noise party in restaurant next to us. Love to see people enjoying themselves but we couldn’t hear each other’s conversation at our table. Needed more staff on when busy.
Gnammy Italy – StockportArrived at The Pavilion with great anticipation, we hadn't visited the establishment before. I had had been told by a work colleague I was in for a treat. In reception we were met by a rather gruff fellow who acknowledged our booking but proceeded to sit other people who came in after us. After eventually being seated we ordered , starting with poppadoms and a chutney tray, very good. Main course I ordered the Pavilion special with Chicken, and my wife had the Bangalore Lamb dish. When my dish came it was mostly large chunks of onion, with 3 pieces of chicken. My wife's dish had overcooked Lamb, with frozen slices of banana. We complained, I carried on with my dish, my wife's meal was taken away then brought back still with frozen slices of banana, but know with Chicken in with the Lamb. Also the Peshawar bread was dripping in Syrup.Spoilt our meal completely, no charge for the mains, paid for everything else. Left hungry. This place supposedly won an award.!!??
The Pavilion – BoltonBooked an early table for two on Saturday 15th March 2025. Arrived to find the pub heaving with drinkers and diners. We were shown to a quiet table where, despite the huge number of customers present, the service was second to none throughout our visit. The waitress began by talking us through the menu and very helpfully identifying anything that wasn't available. The food was fantastic and the staff never stopped working the whole time we were there. Will be going back and would highly recommend.
The Windmill Parbold – WiganLovely restaurant. Great food and service. Looking forward to returning.
Sorella Restaurant – OldhamAbsolutely love this restaurant. It is the best Italian I have every had and I have been to lots of restaurants in Manchester . The decor and atmosphere is incredible and the value for money is amazing. Thank you to all staff for being so professional and polite. Well done Sorella. Top Class
Sorella Restaurant – OldhamMy party of 8 all had a very tasty and hot meal last weekend although the staff were clearly struggling from dealing with the customer numbers. A nice varied menu served by a friendly team,
The Windmill Parbold – WiganWe have enjoyed several meals at Cafe Italia, all of which have been great. In fact, its consistency of both service and quality food is why its one of our 'go to' choices. This particular weekend, they also had a brilliant card magician entertaining diners, which was an excellent choice and easy to enjoy in between food (much better than singers, that we've seen in other restaurants - in our opinion). Its great place and we will be back
Cafe Italia – BoltonAte on Sorrentos on Saturday evening with a friend, Really great food and excellent atmosphere. A lovely place to go out for dinner.
Nuovo Sorrentos – WiganGreat food as always at The Drop, and our server Beth fas brilliant and attentive, even though she was super busy. Get down there!
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonThe Windmill has been refurbished and looks fantastic so we were really looking forward to trying it. When we arrived although we pre booked there was no table ready for us, the staff were helpful and managed to get something sorted. We then waited 45 minutes to get a drink, the pub was reasonably busy however it was a Thursday so not packed. It was over an hour before we ordered food and they’d ran out of chunky chips which caused confusion as they still had skinny chips and mashed potatoes as options. The food was not what we expected and unfortunately was not what was described on the menu, the ‘sticky coconut rice’ tasted like plain packet basmati and the naan breads were small toasted packet pittas that hadn’t even been flavoured. There were 6 of us at the table and we were all really disappointed, especially considering the price of the food. The pub itself has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were helpful, it’s just a shame the service was so slow and the food was such a disappointment. Hopefully these are just teething problems with it recently re opening.
The Windmill Parbold – Wiganvisted after refurb...having been to the pub on numerous occasions. Found this visit to be disapointing...far too long to wait over an hour for a main course only meal. The new layout found us cramped in a corner and wasnt reallly an ambiance of relaxation but one of noise. The food which was ordered came and the chips were far too big and where like rocks. Waitresses were very pleasant and apologetic but they didnt cook the food. Ended up with one meal discounted due to food. Probably will not go again. Feel the place is going in then wrong direction ...after bottoms on seats and losing that customer experience...
The Windmill Parbold – WiganDelicious. This was our second visit and just as good as the first. Great food, staff, service, atmosphere. Already booked again and definitely new regulars.
L’Aquila Prestwich – PrestwichAbsolutely amazing evening. Great food, beautiful Barolo and even better service. Highly recommended and can’t wait to come back. Thank you
L’Aquila Prestwich – PrestwichOur first visit and won't be our last. We were welcomed from the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was plentiful and delicious thankyou for a lovely evening with family.
