The best place in Bolton for a lovely meal. Staff are brilliant too!
Sunar Gaw – BoltonAll enjoyed the meal and the service was second to none excellent
Moorcock Inn – LittleboroughI have joined friends and family for a meal at Micker Brook many times and on each occasion have found the food and service to be second to none. The staff are always very helpful, polite and cheerful. The place itself is pleasantly decorated, nicely lit and very clean but homely and comfortable.. Washroom facilities are excellent. The outdoor surroundings are kept clean and neat with ample parking spaces. Every visit is a pleasure to behold.
Micker Brook – CheadleLove the lounge area, love the service, the booth seats are a must if you can get one and the main course Lamb on bone one word for you Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!
Panama Hattys – Manchester City CentreMy wife and I visited a couple of weeks back on a Saturday night. It didn't start great as they'd lost our booking but we were taken to the bar. 40 minutes later and after a number of requests we eventually got a very nice corner table. The food was really good - we had mussels (not overcooked), a great ravioli, some average gnochi and the fish (snapper and sea bass) were cooked perfectly. The potato and herb crust on the sea bass was magical. The service on the other hand only went downhill after the initial 40 minute wait. We managed to land a fairly surly waitress and like others on this list had to speak to 4 people before we got the bill at the end of the night. Dont' get me wrong, it was good and the food bordered on great but with service that bad and so much competition, I'm just not convinced we'll go back again soon.
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City CentreThe service could be much improved, I've visited a number of times the food is good you get what you pay for. The atmosphere is friendly.
Lead Station – ChorltonChristmas dinner at the Kush! And it was brilliant. Lovely food, great fun, usual friendly service. this place cannot be bettered, whether eating in or take away.
Kushoom Koly – StockportAn amazing evening was had by all! We arrived as a party of 15 and were greeted with warm smiles and an even warmer atmosphere. The food was delicious and the level of service was outstanding. I left a hefty tip and i'd advice you to do the same!! A fantastic restaurant that i will be visiting time and time again in the future.
Pizza Hut – HorwichWent in with low expectations, but had a brilliant experience. Waitress - I think she was called Natalie - was attentive and very friendly. Your bill shows VAT separately as a VAT receipt but it IS DEFINITELY included in all the prices. Food was surprisingly tasty and well worth the value for money.
Pizza Hut – HorwichThe Best Thai Restaurant in Manchester The food at Chaophraya was incredible, like nothing I have ever tasted. The outstanding food was matched by impeccable service. I would definitely recommend Chaophraya for any occasion.
Chaophraya – Manchester City CentreIf you are looking for a trendy city type eatery in bury town centre then this is for you. that said it doesn't really measure up to its city counterparts. really friendly staff make customers feel at ease. good place for a pre theatre supper
Automatic Lounge – BuryFour dinners we all decided to have an average priced banquet. We really enjoyed our evening at the Spring Deer. Not rushed at all, each course was delivered to our table just as we were ready to eat it. Service was excellent - Food was exceptional, enjoyed every mouthful, and all from this little known restaurant in Tyldesley.
Spring Deer – WorsleyThis really is a fantastic pub, it has a great choice of guest ales aswell as bottled beers from around the world. The food is excellent and i would recommend a visit, very friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. 10 out of 10.
Baum The – RochdaleVisited on sat 31st march 07 food excellent good chef good atmosphere. Would recommend a visit.
Giovanni Italian Restaurant – DroylsdenGreat meal here, no complaints, we will definitely go again, enough said.
Cafe Istanbul – Manchester City CentreI have had again an impressive meal I was extremely impressed with the fish display. I have also Met the chef albo which has cooked me a delicious Pasta ribbons Papadele with sea food from the display. Simply outstanding. I will be back soon.
Sul Lago – OldhamIt was my first time in that restaurant. Nice place, fantastic food, great service but... too high prices. In my opinion the interior is too bright.
Simla Inn Tandoori Restaurant – RoytonMy husband and I visited one Thursday early evening (approx 5pm). We were rather surprised to be told even at this time we were lucky to be able to get a table for 5.30pm when food service began. The restaurant is quite long and narrow with Victorian tiling throughout. After seeing the prices, we decided to stick to main courses only - I chose Goosnargh duck with a mulled port wine sauce (£16.95), as recommended by the waitress. The duck was pan-fried beautifully but was ruined by the over-use of seasoning/spices (mainly cloves) in the sauce. My husband opted for the Sirloin steak with chips (£14.95) which he said was very good. Overall, the meal was ok but rather overpriced for what it was - you're probably paying extra for the nice surroundings! I believe better food is available elsewhere for the same money or less.
