First time at the Elephant Crossing and we'll definitely be back!! Amazing food and service.

Pre booked for birthday cocktails & food , very busy with limited staff, however they remained professional and dealt exceptionally well working under obvious pressure. The cocktails were amazing & the food absolutely wonderful!! We will definitely return soon! . NB- management. You really do have an excellent team !! Keep hold of them, they represent your business exceptionally!

Sunday Lunch. We've been going to The Last Inn off and on for some time now. The latest experience on Sunday 24/09/23 was, without doubt, the best. They were busy. In the past you could expect to wait quite a long time for service, there were no delays - more staff - much better organisation. Food excellent, generous and at last they produced nice crunchy roast potatoes. Mistake they used to make was to pile meat on top of roasties (making them soggy). Wine by the bottle much more reasonably priced than previously. Somehow, The Last Inn have been able to hold their food prices, yet deliver better service, maintain excellent quality and reduce prices of Wine by the Bottle. Fantastic. New manager made all the difference. Thank you everyone who looked after us

Excellent all round, friendly service and delicious well presented food and drinks, a real hidden gem. We enjoyed it so much that we are already looking to return again next week and recommending to everyone we speak to. Thank you.

Had mid week dinner at The Elephant Crossing and it was lovely. The restaurant was a little quiet but I imagine it’s so much busier on the weekend. The lady who served us was really lovely, and the food was incredible! We over ordered between the two of us but it was delicious. Really huge portions for the price. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again!

Superb Sunday lunch last week, with excellent service from the bar and restaurant personnel. A really enjoyable experience and highly recommended.

We have had a couple of Sunday lunches at the Swan. Not only was the Manager and his staff delightful, but also, the food has been excellent. I have had worse Sunday lunches from 'posh' pubs costing far more. However, that's not to say that the Swan isn't a beautiful place in which to eat.....it very much is. Views of the River and a lovely, rustic and characterful interior coupled with a great atmosphere and plenty of good beers! On a wet Monday night, we had a family meal for my wife's Birthday. The food was again wonderfully cooked and presented and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and attentive.

A wide range & interesting menu. Excellent food well served. Attentive & cheerful service. Sadly lacking in real ale though with just Bank's Amber on which was a shame, but it wouldn't stop me eating there.

Didn’t get to eat at Water Rat, as table was cancelled 2 hrs prior to booking. It was a shame as was looking forward to taking my son for lunch prior to returning to university.

Wonderful evening, great service, a few options we wanted to order had run out but the alternatives were had were delicious.

Honestly some of the best food we’ve had all year! I had the sea bass with cauliflower puree, pakoras and giant couscous. It was HEAVENLY. My husband had the steak and said it was amazing. And prices were very reasonable considering the quality. Service was quick and friendly. We had an amazing night and we’ll 100% come again.

We visit the Smokey Cow once every 2 or 3 months. There is always a great choice of food on the menu which caters for every taste. My children like very different food and its not always easy to find a pub/restaurant that suits everyone in the family...... but The Smokey Cow always delivers. The food is well priced and there is a good selection or beer/lager at the bar. It's dog friendly too, making it a real family favourite.

My husband and I had a lovely meal, we booked a table for Saturday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The service was good and the food excellent. The atmosphere was buzzing. I would definitely recommend booking a meal here
