Overall I was disappointed with my Saturday afternoon lunch here. Had to order at the bar which seemed strange, food took an hour to arrive and the pub wasn’t too busy… Everyone’s meal looked lovely and was very hot but my sausages, mash, gravy and red cabbage was VERY salty! Couldn’t taste the garlic in the mash… plates were left on our table and only cleared when the waitress couldn’t get our dessert on the table. Dessert - sticky toffee pudding was delicious and generous portions. Wouldn’t eat here again as I think the servuu oh cr and food quality is better at the sister pub - the white hart.

Been here a few times over the years. Always great food and good atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive. Thanks for a lovely meal!

The service was very good and the staff were very helpful and pleasant one inparticular went the extra mile. This was a very important meal for a lot of reasons and was also for my wife's birthday. Thanks for making it a huge success.

We arrived at our booked meal time and it did seem that the venue was understaffed to seat us. Originally seated by the kitchen, which was noisy and considering there were plenty of quieter/ more desirable tables available, we moved into the main restaurant, which was lovely. Decor amazing. The staff didn't really know the menu, or what we were ordering, but after 'working with them' the food was amazing!!!! Very good!!! Credit to the kitchen. We didn't mind the wait for food. Not really that long. 20/30 minutes. But some people round us were left disappointed. Having worked in hospitality, I just think that it needs a Manager who is on it. To take hospitality up a level. The staff are willing. Just need direction. I would go again because the food was excellent. Just plan ahead for timings.

Excellent Sunday Lunch! Lovely staff. Had a good deal on 3 cocktails. Returned 2 days later, not so good cocktails, staff were not very professional. Many of their spirits had sold out!! So disappointed .☹️☹️

Nice place. Great service. Good selection of beers. Best fish and chips that we have probably ever had - lovely white haddock in an excellent batter. Good chunky chips. Great ribs in the chicken and rib combo. Very happy!

Menu was nice, not too many options to choose from Service was a little slow taking our order, as was delivery of the food Food was very tasty though and strangely as the pub got busier the service improved Would eat there again

Food and service ok. Some staff needed more training. Asked for an ice cube in wife's wine and he put 3 ice cubes in first then started to pour wine up to the measure on glass. I had to pull him up as I was being short measured. We stayed the night there was no parking on site and room was full of cobwebs

Fabulous meal,steaks cooked to perfection.Great service. Waitresses attentive whilst not being overly so.

Only diners in restaurant. Main course arrived as expected but puddings took much longer than expected to arrive. Food was good, though felt the puddings were expensive. Our waitress on arrival was very friendly, but when the shift changed mid-meal our second waitress was sullen, didn’t smile once and said goodbye as we left without taking it her eyes off her mobile phone. Think a bit of customer service training is required

Amazing ! This pub is really close by but we’ve never been before - definitely our loss !! Lovely and clean inside and out, staff were very attentive but not in an obtrusive way and the food was brilliant! I had a fish pie which can be a bit of a gamble as it’s often just mush but this was delicious with proper chucks of fish . Couldn’t fault anything and would highly recommend!

Outstanding Sunday lunch , With friendly happy staff. Great selection of larger and ciders. But a local real ale would be the icing on the cake..

Pleasant evening, Ryan great host, prompt service by all and a good meal for a fair price. Decor could be improved however food, service and value all 5*. Will be returning!

Wonderful food! New management seem to be getting a hold of things. Will be returning to try the new menu!

Lovely place, the staff were friendly and helpful but the food was not great. The meat was nice but my nut roast was the worst thing i have had in a restaurant! The mash had big lumps of pepper in and overall the veg was disappointing
