An unexpected al fresco fine dining experience in the centre of Ironbridge. Fabulous food, friendly and efficient staff and reasonably priced wine. We ate here on Monday, June 7th and enjoyed it so much we went back on Wednesday the 9th!

Revamped building looks spectacular Lovely having expansive outdoor space too Staff very friendly and helpful Food looked and tasted delicious... a nod to the White Hart influence Felt relaxed and safe with Covid protections A request - please offer a range of AF BEER - there is so much out there now that tastes wonderful !

After a long year of lockdown I was looking forward to going out for some local food ,I was very disappointed was not ask to use the track and trace till I was sat down at my table then sew people walking in with staff and no face covering never sew any staff to order a second drink . Would not recommend think staff need to be trained on customer service.

Food was satisfactory but the service was unsatisfactory, there was not enough staff on, we waited quite a while for our main course, we was not asked if everything was ok with our meal and we wasn't asked if we wanted anymore drinks.

Service from the Manager Zoe was fabulous as was the food. A very good start back to working in these new times.

We arrived at the Water Rat in eager anticipation not knowing what to expect. As former Meadow Inn enthusiasts we were a little bit early so we sat outside to enjoy a drink. After going inside to our table we were disappointed with the menu, we found it overpriced and restrictive due to the overemphasis on onions.

Excellent meal even on a Tuesday night after a busy Bank Holiday. We’ve never been disappointed with the quality of the food and service. Thoroughly recommended.

Great food, good service - highly recommend

We dined at the Water Rat on Saturday the food was excellent and so was the service our young waitress was exceptional. Sorry we didn’t ask her name. we had the duck, fish and beef bouginon! The decor was on trend inviting and cosy. The only negative was the toilets need upgrading they do not fit the stylish decor. We felt very safe in Covid restrictions too.

First meal out after Lockdown catching up with friends. Lovely restaurant, fantastic Sunday lunch with great service. Following COVID rules well so felt very safe. Will definitely visit again soon!

First time back after Lockdown, food as always fantastic. Shame about the service though, waiters very inexperienced and making lots of mistakes. We weren't offered any condiments and didn't have a table check and I had to spell my choice of drink so the waiter could write it down.

Please can I book a table for 4 adults and one child... she will be happy to sit on a normal seat rather than a high chair! Thank you. I have a garlic allergy.

What a delightful, fine dining restaurant right in the middle of a World Heritage Site - Ironbridge. Stay could not have been more helpful and the food and drink outstanding. We'll be back x

Fabulous menu & great service from the staff. Good vegetarian option. We dined on a Tuesday before spring Bank Holiday and it was pretty empty. The food was wonderful especially the starters. Also reasonable priced wine for a restaurant. Would definitely go again.

Really lovely meal again. Have definitely missed this place!
