A superb meal. Imaginative menu expertly executed. We had two different starters and two different mains. All were perfect with interesting taints such as my crispy pork belly that had a spoonful of confit of red peppers- so good that I asked the waitress to ask the chef how she did it. Masterful!!

Our first meal out after lock down and we weren’t disappointed ! As always greated by very smart staff who are very accommodating ! Great warm friendly atmosphere , beautifully decorated and pristine ! Food amazing and arrived promptly , cannot fault anything so much so this is now our go to restaurant !

Perfect in every way. Great service (exceptional in fact, you are made to feel very valued here) great food beautifully presented .. Great everything. I’ve been many times before - it’s always wonderful, but I chose The White Hart for my first night out-in because a friend of mine was visiting from out of town and I wanted somewhere as I’ve described. PERFECT.

Visited saturday 8th May. Excellent food and service. Will definately be back soon. I ordered the mussels as a main meal and it was an absolute winner and such a generous portion!

Visited Sunday 2nd May, sat outside and ordered 2 adult beef roasts which were the best I've tasted in a very long time. Daughters had steak and a vegetarian option and really enjoyed. Booked to go again for Fathers day and cant wait!

Good quality roast, portion sizes are more than enough and extremely friendly staff .

Staff were attentive and the food was delicious. Great to be able to eat out again albeit sitting outside .

Fantastic. Food, service, beer, atmosphere - it's all here. Yes, it's outside seating currently, so wrap up warm if you're inclined to feel the cold. If it's bound to be a busy time - expect to wait a little longer for your food. If the staff are run off their feet, maybe cut them a break and show patience, rather than contempt. Best of all: THE PUB IS OPEN!!! Get your glad rags on and your smiles ready and have a great time catching up on what we've all missed :)

So pleased to be able to go out for lunch again. Food lovely and hot. Staff friendly and helpful. Not the prettiest beer garden but perfectly acceptable under the circumstances. Looking forward to being able to go indoors.

As a couple we were really keen to visit the tilley raven on Monday 12 April, on arrival we were really disappointed, we felt a lot more could of been done in preparation, especially when the weather was really cold. I felt there should of been some outside heating, an offer of blankets. The tables weren't wiped over, dusty and dirty. Not good value for food and drink, be aware that what ever you order add on 20% as the bill has the vat on top. However, the staff were really lovely and helpful, just a great shame it could of been made better with a bit more thought and effort.

I have enjoyed many meals at the Water Rat since the refurbishment with my wife and also family ( when allowed ) , the food and service are always excellent. The staff are friendly and welcoming, it is a shame that the pub has been closed so much this year. Lets hope that we can all go back soon. I used to be a regular visitor to the Meadow which I always enjoyed but I can honestly say that the Water Rat is even better. I would recommend that you visit when it is open again.

Very enjoyable meal, service was excellent and all COVID rules followed. It was quite quiet when we went but the atmosphere was relaxed and festive. Food was delicious, we had all 3 courses as a Christmas treat!

We had a lovely Christmas Eve lunch. The food was amazing, the staff very welcoming & the surroundings were beautiful. All covid compliant, we will most certainly be returning to try many more things on the menu. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
