Our first visit after many recommendations. We had the early bird which was fantastic value. The lamb main was excellent, just needed more crumble topping on the apple crumble dessert. Service was also excellent, attentive and very friendly. Will definitely return.

I had roast sea bass with vegetables, Hubble had cod Thai green curry, which he said was amazing, cod flaked easily as well cooked. Followed these with 3 ice cream scoops, and for me, a delicious crème brûlée. An excellent way to close a hot day!

Dear would-be diners, avoid the food in this place at all costs especially, their take on faux Italian dishes. This is of course unless you want severe food poisoning.

Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe had a wonderful meal at The Courthouse - delicious food, cooked beautifully and we were so impressed with the level of care and attention given to our family of 6. The children were looked after really well and the portions of food on the children’s menu were very generous indeed. The fish and lamb were also cooked to perfection, and the desserts were divine. The Courtyard is a beautifully restored restaurant in a stunning building opposite the castle - a real gem for foodies and families looking to find somewhere a little different to eat out whilst in Caernarfon. We will certainly return when next in the area, and hope that the theatre may also be open that time too - the renovation of this space was done to such a high spec that we would have gladly stayed to watch a performance that evening too if one had been on!

The meal was nice but then had to queue another 10 minutes to order dessert . We booked this meal over a week ago but I’m afraid we will not be going back!
