Y Sgwar – PorthmadogAbsolutely lovely meal from the festive menu. Great food, wine and atmosphere!!
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogLike the refurbishment and the food was excellent. Music in dining room was far too loud and we couldn't have a conversation.
The Bridge End Hotel – Llangollen6 of us had the Christmas meal and we all said it was the tastiest we have had. A lovely waitress called Liv treated us to a bottle of procecco which was a lovely touch AND handed out the secret santa gifts. Will certainly be visiting again soon.
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamExellent Sunday lunch will definitely be booking again 10 out of 10

Y Sgwar – PorthmadogA wonderful restaurant offering nice ambience, very good quality food & pleasant professional staff. No hesitation in recommending for a good meal out.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWhat a super find. Greeted by a very welcoming lady called Lorraine, who was most attentive towards us throughout our meal. We sat by the log burner with a drink and ordered our meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The meal itself was exquisite. Scallops, belly pork starter followed by an 8oz Fillet steak cooked to perfection. The dessert of choice had to be Bakewell tart with custard and 2 spoons!! Highly recommend this establishment. Great selection of 0% beverages.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWhat a Gem of a restaurant, Food,Service ,Ambiance all top notch, Highly recommend
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogThis is one of our favourite places in the area. The pub is beautifully decorated. It’s warm, cosy, modern and traditional all in one! The food is outstanding! The chef is so talented and the food is amazing! It’s reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. The chicken and almond curry is delish. The pie irresistible! The chilli…wow! We have never had a bad meal and we’d highly recommend everything!!
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthWe changed our booking at the last minute and the staff were very accommodating. The restaurant was very friendly and the staff were polite and helpful. The meal was outstanding with quality ingredients beautifully prepared and presented. We had so much to eat I had to miss out on the crème brûlée! We will be back.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogMy wife had the scallops for her starter and the duck for her main. She enjoyed her meal immensely. I had the chicken liver pate and the ribeye steak with the extra Stilton sauce. The pate was delicious. The steak was as expected, cooked perfectly and flavoursome. The sauce, unfortunately was congealed and tasteless. The chips soggy, which was a shame. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, I shall, if we visit again will avoid the extra sauce and hopefully the chips I received were a one off. We really wanted to tip the staff for their service but as we had no cash on us….who does these days….we couldn’t as the payment machine hasn’t the ability to allow this.
