My wife had the scallops for her starter and the duck for her main. She enjoyed her meal immensely. I had the chicken liver pate and the ribeye steak with the extra Stilton sauce. The pate was delicious. The steak was as expected, cooked perfectly and flavoursome. The sauce, unfortunately was congealed and tasteless. The chips soggy, which was a shame. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, I shall, if we visit again will avoid the extra sauce and hopefully the chips I received were a one off. We really wanted to tip the staff for their service but as we had no cash on us….who does these days….we couldn’t as the payment machine hasn’t the ability to allow this.
