Always enjoy eating at Y Sgwar, very good food, nice waiting staff and a mix of pleasant other diners, usually! And Tremadog is such a pretty village too.

Great food excellent atmosphere staff couldn’t do anything more very polite and always smiling Stayed 3 nights wonderful to see Charlotte and Tom had a great stay George are great companion was made very welcome. Will be returning next month if there is vacancies its a very popular place meet lovely people at the Bridge end friends for ever Can’t wait to return

We had a really lovely evening. The food was faultless, the restaurant gleemed but best of all was the wonderful welcome we had from the lovely friendly staff.

Definitely book as it gets busy. Service excellent. Food delicious. Atmosphere relaxing. I am lactose intolerant and great care was taken to cater for my needs. Highly recommended.

My husband and I visited yesterday 2nd March 2025 for Sunday lunch (second sitting ) We have been to Y Sgwar many times and have always found rather food to be excellent and we weren’t disappointed yet again. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere bubbling… We visit the area very frequently as we have a lodge there and we are blessed with so many excellent restaurants in the area, Y Sgwar is one of our favourites and we will definitely be returning very soon..

We had a brilliant time at Y Sgwar and the food was delicious. I would recommend booking in advance as it can get very busy. The staff were incredibly helpful regarding my boyfriend's gluten allergy and made sure that we felt catered for. The majority of the menu is gluten free which is great for coeliac. The dishes are presented beautifully and taste just as good as they look! I would definitely recommend to anyone in the Tremadog area.

Visited on Sunday02/03 for lunch. Food very nice,though for the price I wouldn’t have expected 3 different types of cabbage on my plate. Maybe some broccoli next time ? Also nice desserts but ice cream doesn’t belong in an Eton mess and with it being banoffee I’d have thought it would be toffee sauce rather than chocolate All in all a good 7/10 .

An outstanding family meal, beautifully cooked and served by helpful, knowledgeable staff. An absolutely fantastic experience. A must visit!! 10/10

I’m not a great lover of dogs but except the fact that can enter the pub Having been for a meal last Saturday I thought I was in crufts. Also for some reason it must of been extremely large dog night out Not very impressed especially with the owners letting their dogs sniff and walk around other guest tables I think sometimes if they are extremely large dogs they either should be made to sit outside with their owners or banned altogether

The food was really good, best I've had in a long time with some amazing flavours. We had an early bird meal which was good value and we were stuffed!. The only drawback I have, is that we found the restraunt a little cold, could of done with a few heaters. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Excellent food and service will go again my friend had the lamb said it was brilliant so I will have that next time .Don’t be put off by the price it’s about value it was well worth the money……
