We booked for a Sunday lunch on the 29th Dec 2024. We arrived and they were extremely busy. It's not our first time visiting since the refurbishment. It's very warm and welcoming. We had drinks before ordering our food. Yes there was a little wait but if you want fresh food you have to wait. When the food arrived it looked good it was hot and plenty of it. My husband had the chicken and I had the beef roast. The food as I said was hot and there was plenty of taste in everything. Staff were pleasant and attentive without being OTT. We were not rushed and when finished the manager came over and asked if we were happy and satisfied. The answer was yes... another return visit is on the cards. It's over an hour away from us in Denbighshire but good food and lovely atmosphere goes a long way. See you soon. Jan and Les

Got the wrong drink but couldn’t apologise enough and even though they replaced it, didn’t charge us for the wrong order. Will definitely visit again! Lovely staff, really friendly and lovely pub!

The meal all courses was marvellous. Just one little complaint the drinks service for one of the orders never arrived so I cancelled a port that I wanted with my cheese course as I had ate it and we had to re order, having said that I do appreciate it was very busy with lot's of other drink orders.
