We had lunch at Hotel Wrexham yesterday. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Very tasty food, good surroundings and friendly staff. Especially recommend the halloumi fries.

I’ll add this place to my favourites list!! Why hadn’t we heard about this restaurant earlier, we’ve been coming to this area for years. Lovely looking restaurant, comfortable seating, excellent service and superb food; we couldn’t have asked for more.

Food was just stunning and so very tasty. Service was excellent. Y Sgwar is a little gem.

When on holiday in area we always finish our last night with meal here. Always beautiful food, great atmosphere and fantastic service. Cannot recommend highly enough

We were on holiday in the area and visited Y Sgwar on our last night. It was the best meal of the week. The menu was varied and the food beautifully presented. The front of house staff were attentive. Such a shame its a long way from Nottingham otherwise both my husband and I would eat there every week.

We always enjoy the high standard of food at Y Sgwar. As we had 2 children with us yesterday, we booked Early Bird. As it costs 23.50 ( the same price as Sunday lunch ) we were disappointed with the quantity. The Lamb Roast was much smaller than the Sunday quantity with no side vegetables and my husband was still hungry as was I after the smallish Seabass. The Puddings were ample, however. Sorry to be disappointed.

Having been recommended to us we had a really enjoyable meal great service and ambience at a really reasonable price. Thank you.

This is always our most favourite place to eat when we visit Porthmadog and surrounding area. The menu is very varied with lots of lovely choices and the food is amazing. Staff are also very friendly and the service is excellent.

Had the most wonderful meal last night. The service staff were polite, knowledgeable about the menu and very efficient. The food was cooked to an excellent standard and delicious. We will definitely return when back in the area. Can recommend a visit to this lovely restaurant.

A lovely meal at Telfords. Foodwas very fresh and tasty. I had the seafood chowder, creamy and full of fish, then John Dory which was a light fish. Service excellent and comfortable seating

As always a perfect meal! The Hake was perfect, in fact everything was perfect. Thank you again for another wonderful evening! Highly recommend!

Visited for Afternoon Tea to redeem a Christmas Voucher. My companion had never experienced the Tradition before and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was extraordinary with balloons and banners and new signage due to the Hotel's relaunch as Hotel Wrexham, plus choirs from Thailand and Africa staying and rehearsing outside in the car park for the Llangolen Eisteddford. Sublime sound. Staff were knowledgable and attentive, and the all-important food was well-prepared, well presented, with doggy bags available. A most memorable occasion. Many thanks.

The ambience of the Hotel was amazing! Beautifully decorated with attentive staff. My meal was good, but waiting at the Carvery was problematic. Too many people in a small place. Just teething problems I am sure.

Excellent Wednesday carvery as we have come to expect. Good food, friendly and accommodating staff. The hotel restaurant is getting busier and going from strength to strength.

We were on holiday in the area and we ate in Y Sgwar twice , we had previously visited in 2023 . We had a very warm welcome on arrival , the staff are well trained and knowledgeable. The food was of an excellent standard and we would recommend this restaurant. Thank you .

Fantastic meal at Telford’s Bistro on Thursday evening. The food’s taste was amazing, and the staff were very amenable and friendly. We had several small plates and they were all fantastic, to top off, the desserts and cocktails were great too!
