Y Sgwar was recommended to us by the place where we were staying, with the advice to book, which we did. Just as well, since it was full the evening we ate there, very popular and deservedly so. Really excellent food and wine and friendly, attentive service, what mote coud one ask for?

My wife and I had a loverly evening at foxglove loverly food and really nice people I am not vegan but my wife is but the 5 courses meal was perfect and the white wine was very nice too

Delicious meal celebrating friends birthday. We had Fish John Dory and the Monkfish cooked to perfection so tasty. Friendly efficient staff, great atmosphere with subtle music. Highly recommend

First time visiting Telfords as it has always been fully booked before when we have been in town. Everything superb. Food, wine, service, atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming staff. Will definitely be back.

Really great dining and atmosphere at our visit on Saturday. The food was delicious, we all ordered meals with fish although meat and vegetarian options available. All our choices were delicious and the service was excellent and personal. Highly recommend.

Love the fish here. What a pity more don’t walk a little further than the chain fish restaurant recently opened in Conwy.The menu is so much better as is the food and presentation. We love Telfords and celebrated my brother’s birthday here with a great lunch. We got caught out twice before because they aren’t open Monday or Tuesday but then nothing else is in Conwy to be honest . We book now to make sure !

This was our second visit and it didn't disappoint. This time we had the early bird menu which was excellent value and generous portions. The lamb was tender and tasty. Whilst the sticky toffee pudding was delicious. After 3 courses we left very satisfied. What compliments the food is the pleasant service. Would definitely recommend.

Great atmosphere. Knowledgeable & friendly staff. Lots of vegan options. Only disappointed that they ran out of arancini (though they're so good it's understandable why that happened).

Had lamb for Sunday lunch, it was beautiful ( would have preferred a little hotter but lived the meal regardless) My husband had the chilli and he said it was the best chilli he had ever had!! Service and value for money also excellent

We had a Sunday roast here. Lamb for me and beef for my husband. The food was delicious. Five different veggies and two types of potato plus Yorkshire pudding. It was well prepared and well presented. The staff were attentive but not a bother. Food arrived quickly and was hot. Finished with Pavlovas. Large portions of everything in pleasant surroundings. Highly recommended.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely Sunday Lunch and we would definitely recommend it because it was the best we have had. Food, service and friendliness it was excellent and good value for the money.

Our meal was delicious, I had fish my daughter and granddaughter had mussels, the service was good and the restaurant was very busy, good atmosphere.

Great meal and lovely friendly staff. Can't work out why we were the only ones in there.! Maybe some soft furnishings would help acoustics as was quite echoey?
