Had a lovely meal with friends, not our first visit here. Chowder was amazing calamari lovely and my mussels were fabulous. The hunk of bread and butter was great. Service was great as we expected.

If you find yourself in the Snowdon area then I would heartily recommend booking this restaurant. We won’t hesitate to book it again. We couldn’t fault anything about this meal, the atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff nor the value for money. The whisky sauce on my chicken was the highlight for me. We booked it as a treat after doing Snowdon and had to come straight from the mountain, as we were a little late coming down. We probably weren’t the best presented customers but you wouldn’t know it. My only regret is not being able to finish the pavlova, with white chocolate ice cream. It was delicious but my eyes were bigger than my belly. Every course was of an extremely high quality and perfectly presented. Definitely a top restaurant.

The food is excellent, fresh and well cooked, as is the wine choice. It was very busy for a Wednesday night, which created a lovely buzzy atmosphere, but the staff were very attentive with a very charming manner, and clearly enjoyed what they were doing. Definitely worth it.

Came for lunch yesterday, were the only ones there apart from another couple. No atmosphere, meal was OK but chips were powdery. Drinks were luke warm, plates were cold. Had jam roll poly which took ages to come and was hard and dry. Tea was stewed and cold. Service was poor considering we were the only ones waiting . Won't be coming again. Sadly.

My wife and I ate her two nights in a row because of the food and service. We had small played and entrees were excellent. Nice wine list and very good values. Recommend to anyone and we shall return.

We visited 'Y Sgwar' in April and the food was really nice. We pre-ordered our meals because there were 11 of us (I received the menus via email before hand). I didn't notice this until after we left, but we were over-charged on the meals. On the menus we received before hand, a child starter was £4 and all children meals were £8.50. The early-bird 2-course was £22. When looking at the receipt later on I noticed I was charged £7.50 for the child starter and £10 for a child meal. Also we were charged £23.50 each for the early-bird menus. I know I should have checked the receipt there and then, but the kids were tired and we were in a rush to leave.

Excellent food from a lovely menu and very pleasant and helpful staff. Unfortunately the experience was diminished by having to wait nearly and hour for our first course to arrive. I would like to think that we were just unlucky and we would certainly return.

We had the Sunday Roast and it was honestly the best roast dinner we've had! All perfectly cooked, speedy service and a reasonable price.
