Y Sgwar – PorthmadogVery good and tasty food but quite expensive for what one gets. Good atmosphere with friendly staff but very slow service although it was a busy Saturday in good weather. Maybe Chef can't handle the number of covers compared to the seating capacity. Second time we've been and will almost certainly go again.
Telfords Bistro – ConwyWe have been to Telford a few times now one of our favourite places to eat , Food fantastic my husband loved the chowder, we had sea bass, red snapper , crab cakes and scallops. The wine there us a good choice atmosphere his always good and the staff are really attentive, A fabulous meal thank you .
Telfords Bistro – ConwyWe have been visiting the Victoria for many years and this is the first time we received a poor service. The food was very good and we all enjoyed our meals. Their were six in our party and the meals were bought out at different times. The last meal was so much later than the first two, that 2 had already eaten theirs. We asked politely twice for mayonnaise for the last meal but never received any which was disappointing.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthWell what can I say, what a beautiful meal we both had for our 5th anniversary. We were greeted with a smile, a glass of fizz and the owner wishing us happy anniversary along with all of the waitresses too. Overall a great decision on restaurant choice for our special occasion, loved it, thanks guys x.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogAs always, a real treat. Sumptuous food. Lovely atmosphere. Awesome staff. Nice to be remembered and greeted by the host.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogSuperb and just what we needed. Food good. The service was outstanding. Hotel was hosting a large event while we were there but took the time to make our time special too. Big thank you too the lovely lady who ran the bar for looking after us so attentively.
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamWe had dinner at Y Sgwar on Wednesday 19th June and, as always, it was a wonderful experience. Delicious food and drink, great atmosphere and the most amazing service. It is quite our favourite place it dine. Would highly recommend a visit.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogVisited for the first time, upon recommendation. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was really good. They were the best chips I’ve had and the pulled pork was delicious. My husband had a ploughman’s and he loved the pork pie.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthDelicious sea food dishes served in a friendly atmosphere. Service was great. We really enjoyed our meal. The scallops and the John Dory were very well prepared.
Telfords Bistro – ConwyExcellent mid week carvery, equally as good as their Sunday carvery ( if we didn’t have other commitments on Wednesdays we would be there every week). Staff always very welcoming. I would highly recommend Holt Lodge Hotel.
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamY Sgwar was recommended by our accomodation hosts....and what a recommendation it was! We visited on 14th June 24. This is a gem of a place to eat. Extensive selection of food and drinks are available. We had Tempura king prawns and Shetland mussels to start and Rump of Welsh lamb as a main. All dishes were prepared to perfection and were delicious. Portion sizes were large and the service from all the staff could not be faulted.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogGreat meal and beautiful setting!
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthBeautiful setting right by the river. Friendly & helpful staff. Food was delicious. Didn’t get to try a pudding as the main meal was so big but will definitely try next time .
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthCame for the Sunday carvery. The food and service was excellent. Will definitely be coming back again soon.
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamSunday roast is really good value , plenty on the plate , nice pub and excellent service from very friendly staff.
Royal Oak – WrexhamAlways have a great meal here. My favourite place to eat locally. Good service even when they are busy.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthSunday lunch was very good. We had the lamb and it was very tasty and cooked to our taste. The vegetables were done just right. We liked the atmosphere and staff were very efficient. Would definitely recommend.
