Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe visit Lewis’s every time we visit Grasmere and they are open, generally 3 times a year. That speaks volumes for the food, service and value. See you in June!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe my 3 friends and I love this Italian Restaurant and visit regularly. Until our last visit on the 26th April 24 we would have always said it was PERFECT!!! Although we had a nice meal and good service we noticed he standard of food and service was not as good as previously. We heard that the restaurant is expanding and wish the owner Our Best. We hope the wonderful food and service will not suffer as a result of the expansion of the restaurant as it up to now has been exceptional and and a pleasure to visit.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleStaff welcoming, warm and very friendly; food excellent; service really good. We were given a great bay-window seat - considering we’d booked via the online app. A wonderful old, historic venue. Next time, though, some background music will be lovely; my wife and I dined solely to the background guttural sounds of the conversing German party on the adjoining table, which spoiled our experience. The room was a chilly, too - my wife ate with her coat on.
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalAnother fantastic meal at la mezzaluna Jane and her amazing staff do a fantastic job we have eaten here so many times ran out of praise for the team from starter to sweet and not forgetting the lovely bottle of house red perfect best place to eat not too expensive highly recommend will be back soon
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe arrived at 7:30pm to be told that there was no beef burgers, gammon and the pie had changed. So there was pretty much nothing left on the menu to have. So we left. Also the guy ignored use when we first arrived and carried on doing something on the computer screen, left use waiting, standing there feeling a bit uncomfortable till he finally said hi. All he had to say was Hi, sorry I’ll be with you in a minute, just need to finish something off.
The Belle Vue – CockermouthWe came to Lewis's bistro for the first time after we received a list of recommended restraunts from Heidi's Lodge where we were staying and what a gem to find! Beautful decor, lovely staff, and some of the best food we have ever had. Can't wait to come back

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe had such a lovely evening at the Glen Rothay. Delicious food, charming staff and really good selection of beer and lager. Really cozy and friendly in the Badger Bar. Highly recommend.
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalWonderful old pub with a quaint, relaxed atmosphere. Friendly, welcoming staff. Great food and good selection of local beers. Highly recommended.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – Milnthorpe5 star!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereBooked on line. When we arrived the table we were offered was too close to the fire, however was offered an alternative table that was fine. Value for money the food was really good, hot and not too long to wait for our food. When we were in the butchers in Grange they told us that they supplied the meat to the pub, which was really good to know that they were sourcing local produce. The beer, although not a large selection was kept and served well and at a good price. Would definitely visit again if we were in the area.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsFantastic all round. Lovely building and location. Food was great. Nice selection of beers. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Highly recommended!
